I know this isn't a bug but it's a missing feature that should be there. When searching the forums I came across this post that answered my question on "is it possible to invert your mouse." Here is my response and a link to the original post:

Thanks for the info, I asked in game about this and of the dozen or so players I whispered only one responded "idk". Having no "Invert Mouse" option pretty much ruins the game for me as I invert it in all the 1st/3rd person games I play and I'm not going to try and relearn that basic movement just for 1 out of x games that I play.
Devs, if you're reading, the game looks nice but it's unplayable for me, and a few other people I know. :(
