How important are Mages in....

How important is the role for Mages in PVPing? Doesn't matter if its 1v1 or 8v8. What's usually their main role or what do they do? Is it big or small? I want to know the details.

I think the mages will have a good part in WS as in Fiesta

mages in pvp deall massive damage but have low health and def so if hang back and use meatshields you can be a huge pain. they can generally kill a person with about two ice/fire combos so they are very powerfull as i have already said, but their down fall is its hard to hit an experienced pvp'er with their skills and its easy to dodge a mages skill then move in and kinda wail on them XD
