Hello,

I have recently heard about WindSlayer and the first reaction I had was: ''heh, another MapleStory''. But I will usually try these games and see if I was right or not. But right now I have 3 big questions that will probably need the answer from a CM.

1: What are your plans for WindSlayer?

2: What are the special features in WindSlayer that makes this game different from others?

3: Will I be able to easily solo the whole game or does WindSlayer encourage team play?

(More to come once I am able to enter WindSlayer)

(I was hesistating between General Chat or Feedback/Suggestions, so if this topic is in the wrong section, please move it.)

1. Im not a CM

2.There are many different ones. One of the main ones is the PvP. By PvP you get very little EXP (Its not going to be a substitute for leveling up by killing monsters) but you also get Victy which is what you can use to buy some special items that might not just cost gold but victy as well. Such as a sword which cost 100 gold but you also need 100 victy to get it. You can also make your own weapons and armor which are stronger than the ones you can buy by gathering and mining for your materials. You can also refine your weapons. Not only is gathering and mining good for making weapons but you can make things like potions and food. Dashing is also a plus in this game because you can move across the maps more quickly. There are some more Im sure but thats all I can think of right now.

3. Oh boy your going to be doing nothing but soloing because party is kind of broken. Sure you can split up across the map but you can't all go and try to take down the same monster with much effect.

I actually prefer team play which is why I ask :þ Some games tend to make the classes over powered and no one feels the need to party so the game gets really boring. Just wanted to make sure WindSlayer wasn't one of those :P

Don't say this. I am warning you for your own good. You will be ashes in the dirt after the hardcore flaming experience you would go through if someone took this as you accusing Outspark of coppying the game. Wind Slayer actually came out before Maplestory, but Maplestory is more well known...

IceGoten replied to everything correctly already.

1. The company probably wants to earn money with it through the cash shop.

2. Features: Strong PVP Focus which gets auto-balanced so players of different levels can fight each other; Special movements: Weak Attack, Strong Attack, Dash, Double Jump, Guard; Forging / Mining / Harvesting

3. The only point of a party in Wind Slayer is so you can use the party chat to talk with a friend. There's no other point to party in Wind Slayer. You can NOT fight together at all, because two players can't hit a mob at the same time, not even if they are in a party. There is no exp bonus for parties either.

Don't jump to conclusion too quickly. Because MapleStory came out in America before WindSlayer (or simply had more publicity around it, and the fact that there isn't a lot of game with the same genre) people will obviously see similar points about this game as it is their only reference. Beside if you read my post completly before posting this I said:

MS was only the reference I had with games of the same genre. Beside these types of critics are everywhere and MS is not always the topic. If you wanted I could've said something like: It's similar to Ghost Online (which came out before MS if I am right). Still, the fact stays the same: it is similar...now what are the special stuff about this game that will make me say: well I was wrong this isn't like MapleStory regardless of wether or not it came out first.

That's what I was afraid of. Though it prevent players from ksing each other and see the forum being spammed with ''kser report!!!11'' if it stays like this I can only predict a bad future for WS, hoping that they will change it soon. Otherwise people will try the game, see that there is no point on partying other player...get bored...leave the game.

As other players have already pointed out, one of Wind Slayer's defining features is its PvP system.

Once you're level 5, you can easily get into an arena match simply by pressing the 'F' key. In the PvP matches themselves, players are automatically leveled to the same level, which levels the playing field and makes PvP in Wind Slayer dependent on your skill as a player.

The game is very solo-friendly, and players will be able to successfully solo from start to finish.

Obviously, we have big plans for Wind Slayer, but you'll have to wait until a later date before we can discuss them in more detail. For now, let's all get ready for the closed beta. We're looking forward to the chance to start playing with everyone!

thats the thing soloing is good but the whole point of pt is 2 get 2 know people better i think there should be a party bonus-exp system because if your going 2 grind its less boring in a party

First thank you for the reply.
I wasn't expecting much from the PvP (considering all the PvP modes you can find in most F2P) but I'm quite suprise to see a nice modification like this. I only have 1 question about it: Will it be only the skill as a player that will change the outcome of a PvP matches or will the equipements also influence the match result ?

(Sorry for all these questions, I am used to pay attention to the gameplay features/class balancing)

In the novice PVP every player has the exactly same stats, so it's 100% player skill (okay the players that skipped the tutorial quests will have a disadvantage because they can't use dash, double jump and strong attack, but assuming they finished the tutorial it's fair).

In the PVP later, everyone has the same level again, but the job and equipment is taken into consideration.
