I think most people would agree that leveling up in SoS is painful. I understand that the game is supposed to be challenging, but I'm considering leaving altogether if it doesn't get even a little bit easier. At the very least, having a party should help you gain more experience faster. I've had well balanced parties of one of each class fighting in more challenging areas but only earning .13% exp, while I can get .30% exp by myself fighting in easier areas. Please for the love of god make leveling easier! It's so frustrating...!

I've leveled several times faster in party than solo. A good party could kill a higher level monster in a few quick seconds meaning the .13 exp comes several times faster than that .3 you get yourself. Not to mention you'll conserve a lot more potions with a capable healer. Just keep at it and eventually you'll find a party that really works for you.

Yeah you can level faster in a party than solo, but I still think the party bonus could be a bit higher.

Ok don't take this the wrong way but your profile page says your lvl 40 so exp cant be so bad you want to quit already. With a good party *each class* you can get a bonus exp and the leveling is quicker than solo.
The exp drops drastically the higher you go up. Keep that in mind if your ready to give up now at your level

well i would say lvl-ing from 1 to 50 is easy for soloing and u gain more exp when solo-ing (if u r at the right map). however if u r a aco, it's a totally different case.
after lvl 50 it's gonna be hard so most ppl get a party to fight at maps.
another tip that i use is replacing aco (healer) for some1 who can really contribute in lvl-ing and damage. teaming up with a neo or squire is good not to forget archers and wizards.
oh ya..if u wan party like from lvl 3x to 5x, get just 1 or 2 party and amke sure every1 spamming pots so lvl-ing is way faster.

Well the best training is to vary what you do. Some solo, some duo or trio partys and some big parties. In a well balanced party with one of each class you should get a 10% experience bonus. If you add a second member or any class you should get a 20% bonus on top of that. This works even if one is a neo and one a scout, or an aco and a disciple. My main hasn't seen 0.13 per kill in a very long time, I'm lucky to make twice that off of an aoe mob.
You will get less experience per kill in a party because each monster gives only so many experience points and the more people sharing those points the less each person gets. The way you get more experience in a party is that you can kill much faster and can go to much higher maps. That plus the bonuses and you should do okay on experience. Plus a good party is fun and you can end up in some really interesting places. We used to head out north of eir going toward candy vault, or west out of c v toward cobalt caverns.
A neo should make a good duo or trio for any class. An aco can heal and buff and help kill, cutting down on you pot usage and letting you grind longer. Another neo would speed killing. A squire can speed up the killing and use blaze to up you hp if you get mobbed. A disciple can heal somewhat and deals decent damage. A scout and a mage are both long range damage dealers.
You can't really compare what you get per kill solo with what you get in a party of any kind. Your best bet is to look at the overall results when you are done. Also, did you have fun, because that's what it's about.

well from my experience, partying a neo is the fastest lvl-ing machine cos they has accuracy skill that profits for most characters. i suggest going for duo and you going to feel the difference in no time.
if u r adventures, try getting like neo/squire,neo/squire and scout/appre for trio lvl-ing west of CV (lvl 4x and above)
make sure scout bind b4 you attack XD

Sure, it gets harder on higher levels, but it's still already hard on lower ones. I often read "Level 40 isn't hard because on higher levels it's a lot harder" but that's a weird logic. It's like saying $100 for a game isn't expensive because there's a game that costs $150.
I'd define it like this:
Less than 1 hour playing time per level = Easy
1-2 hours playing time per level = Normal
2-8 hours playing time per level = Hard
More than 8 hours playing time per level = Insane

Well, I think the original purpose of the thread was that someone felt he ought to be getting more experience per kill if he were in a party than if he solo killed the same monster. Then someone pointed out if he was having issues with the experience he was getting at level 40, he was going to be in for a nasty surprise later. Several people have mentioned that other games offer higher bonuses for parties.
It's hard for me to define how long it takes for me to level for a variety of reasons. My lower level characters usually have a mission. In other words they are farming for gear or quest items, or items for sale. As such they may be on a map that is not the best training map for them. Most of the time they are on maps where the mob names are light grey to white to optimize drops. This is usually good experience. Some people prefer to train where the mob names are pink to red as this gives a higher percent per kill. However it usually takes much longer to kill and you burn a lot more pots. You also get poorer drops and more likelihood of a 7% accident.

well, i would just suggest something (sorry if u dun go hand with hand with me >.<)
get 1 or 2 person who u really trust in-game or real life. level with them and u gonna be very fun. i used 2 be an aco and i go with a neo (closest friend to me in-game) and a scout who is also my good friend in-game. we go slightly higher map for lvl-ing. like one or 2 maps higher and we does kill mob kinda fast. well we laugh and joke and that makes leveling easier.
we need 2 be happy with our character and we will be doing good. of course u got to know where to lvl and what to kill if not there will be more death compared to experience.

Actually I agree with you. I do a lot of solo, but there are some friends I party with as often as I can whether on our mains or our alts because training with them is a lot more fun and goes a lot quicker.

yup yup! but aco is hard 2 solo cos their atk is low (so have to kill light grey mob) which is boring but good drops >.< [sry off topic a lil]
