I'm new here, and I've been reading up a bit on the classes and decided I'm going to play on the Epith server. However I cannot decide which class to play so hopefully some of you can enlighten me onto where I'll have the most fun.

Specifically I'm looking at:

2h Fighter or Tank
Heal Cleric
Archer (spr 25, full str I believe?)

I like to be useful in groups however most of my leveling is done solo. I only group when forced to (such as to take on the slime king or mara and marlon). I played a mage to 25 ages ago and have forgotten most of the things I knew about the game to an extent so I'm pretty much a newb again. I decided to just make a new account and start over.

So I'll tell you my reasons for wanting to be each, and you guys maybe help me with insight?

2h Warrior: High damage output, sounds good in solo. They look pretty awesome with those swords too.

Tank: Ability to take a massive beating. They look pretty cool too, and would probably be more useful to a group than a 2h warrior (so I've been lead to believe).

Healer: I hear varying reports on healer solo ability. I'm wary of this because I hate being tied to groups but it'd be a good way to get friends. I also love being very useful to groups and healers are always A+ in that category.

Archer: High damage, but frail. The DPS and solo praise of archers draws me to them but the frailty scares me off.

Any tips? Thanks for everything posted :).

Im not sure if my opinions help much but im a 7x cleric and being a cleric was pretty fun at first i lvl very quickly but i was always in party's usually never solo'd. from experience

Fighters with Axe are very interesting REALLY high dmg only thing i only really like about them.

Archer catch my attention for there kite looks really awesome to have a trail of mobs behind u while shooting arrows in air(AOE)

im currently playing my alt a 5x mage which is very fun casting spells.

but if i were to be a noob and see all these i think id go with Fighter and Axe =D

I have a Cleric (8x), a Fighter (7x), and an archer (6x). This is my experience.

It's long grinding solo as a cleric. Neither impossible nor difficult, but long. Even Str-build clerics with +9 weapons don't have much damage and only 2 additional attacks. One of the attacks, Bleed or Trip depending on weapon, doesn't come until level 40. If you're End build, you'll want to find a duo partner at the least, a full party/guild to grind with at the most. Otherwise, you'll be bashing away at one mob forever. But, you'd be able to make friends quickly and if you find the right bunch, you could fill up your friends list before you finish King Slime KQ (levels 5-16). I made my cleric first and if I did it over again and didn't start as a cleric, I doubt I'd be able to level a cleric very far. lol

My fighter's an axe user, not a 2h, but the principle is the same. I prefer the axe mostly because of the crit. If you build as a tank, you can help a party or slap on your 2h and solo. It's easier after 43 to solo as a fighter, regardless of build (unless you're Int), because you get Deva and can now damage several mobs at once. If you get good gears, which won't come cheap, you can be a DD-build fighter (full str or str/spr) and still tank. But that requires +9 very high End gears.

As far as archers go, it's a bit harder to solo unless you can kite properly. As the game currently is, all of your DoTs can be cast while running. In my opinion and the opinion of many others, archers are best after 51, when you get Nature's Mist. It's much easier to solo at that point. True, archers are squishy, but with Nature's Protection if you're in a party or with being able to kite successfully (and a not too much lag), you can solo quite well. My archer is mostly made for KQ, but can hold her own in the Abyss.

I love my cleric because I enjoy helping and healing, not to mention she's hard to kill in PvP. ^^
I love my fighter because she can kill.
I love my archer because she's just generally fun.

Not really a "pick this class" answer, but just some input to help you choose.

And that's exactly what I was looking for. Thank you very much :). That helped a ton. I think I'm gonna go cleric, sure the leveling will come slower but I can heal and make a lot of friends in the process, which is the point right?

Now just to find a build...won't be too hard I'm sure.

With an archer you can solo much .. after 51, but can be squishy too if you has no +9s, cleric you can solo too if you build to str but others says clerics are better for being end or something like that build for healing, fighter you can pwn much but not that easy-to-level type.Hope I helped you something, other hints you see above this D;

For cleric builds, if you're going to party, go full End. If you're going to be soloing, you can try out str/25 spr. The downside to being str/spr is that after 60, you'll have tons of trouble soloing to level and the Abyss will be difficult because of the damage you take. If you do go str/spr, you'll need +9 gears with high end.

Archers are only squishy if they get caught, and let's face it, any archer that does is not a veyr good archer. That, and they could have gotten stuck in a lag bubble.
