I'm playing with Vista Home Premium.
I had lags at the start, but I've changed the Priority and Affinity of the game's and and XTrap's processes,
now I'm totally lag-free :D

What does that mean you changed the Priority and Affinity? Also how do you do it because that sounds like it might come in handy.

By using your system's Task Manager. I wouldn't mess around with it if you don't know what you're doing though because changing priorities and doing anything else related to processes can cause system-wide instability for those that don't know exactly what to mess with.

It doesn't really matter, since if you'll re-run the client, it will back to normal.
those options are lasts till the process will be closed, so if you don't like it that way, you can always restart the game.

Anyways, if you wanna give it a shot, here's a lil guide:

DO THE SAME WITH BOTH PROCESSES (WindSlayer.exe and XTrap.xt).

Good luck :)
Oriya.

Ok you say only check CPU 1 but CPU 0 is checked in the picture. Do you mean keep CPU 0 checked and have CPU 1 checked too?

This is good stuff.

If everyone can please post their system specifications just like these two did, it may help us optimize the Lag.

I also notice some Arrow Key, Character animation lag, but no Chat lag.

Well if it helps get down to the root of this issue then heck yea, I'll post my computer build. 8D

I'm facing the same control delay when using the movement, attack, blah, though typing in-game isn't delayed at all.

Don't forget to include your Operating System

For me, Right now:

On Vista 64 = Control Lag / No chat Lag

On Windows XP Pro = No at all

I believe that they are trying to say that if you have more than one CPU only select one of them, doesn't matter which.

I have the lag issue...but I noticed something strange.

For some reason, the movement lag doesn't always occur when I run WindSlayer. About 80% of the time the lag will occur, but 20% of the time the lag is completely gone. Best yet, the lag is gone the entire time... even if I go back to the channel select screen. It is only when I close WindSlayer and run the EXE again in does the lag reappear.

Therefore, perhaps the issue has something to do with how WindSlayer initializes the keyboard and only occasionally works.

I would like the rest of you to try this and see if it works for you too.

Try closing WindSlayer and re-running the executable. Usually after about 5 tries, the game will load without the movement bug.

Attempted that, but it seems I'm still getting the key delay no matter how many times I exit and launch the game.

I believe that they are trying to say that if you have more than one CPU only select one of them, doesn't matter which.

The main CPU (primary/first CPU) is CPU 0. The second is CPU 1. I don't think it really matters which is unchecked, but most people uncheck the second CPU.
