View Full Version : Suggestion to finally end Abyss PKing?

Simple. Killing people in FBZ gives kill points, killing in Abyss does not. There will be less people available in the FBZ's, but (hopefully), less killing in the Abysses. Any ideas or suggestions, besides the fact that there will be a major slowdown in KPS because no one will enter the FBZ's?

I guess that works. That way you don't lose your experience in FBZ. People won't complain as much... but then again there will be those that do complain for whatever reason.

Get rid of the abyss! o.o That would solve everything and make the game hard as hell! Then all those stupid nubs would stop playing and all us who don't really mind a challenge can stay!!!

Perhaps double xp loss in Abyss to make up for it? But normal xp loss if you die to mobs?

Good Lord in Heaven, NO!

-__- Some people enjoy making other people suffer. If we doubled your exp loss, then instead of 1%, you lose 2%. For a low level, that's nothing but once you get on up there, 2% takes a long time.

I can see why you added the 'hopefully' bit. Switching the kill point system from abyss to FBZ will discourage pkers that are after kill points, but it doesn't necessarily apply to the people that enjoy to kill to make others suffer.

I would say one of the main problems is spawn killing and guarding the gate to make sure all those who approach become your prey. I can't say I know a solid solution for this, maybe develop a penalty system for killing the same person over again within a certain time interval and as they continue the penalty increases in severeness.

Just throwin an idea out there, though it won't end the killing in abyss, just make it harder for the killers.

I think that people kill in the Abyss and the 'fun' part is seeing the victims say they've lost exp.

Or the sweet victory after getting revenge. >:] Rawr for ebilness~

Of course, this won't end every teaming/spawn killing situation, but maybe reduce a bit... =/

And the Leaderboard thing is somewhat a big problem. People that keel want KP to get on the Leaderboards... not that I can blame them. xD Cos I want to get on eet too~

Cure to end pking is simply reinstate the level limits in abyss not that hard to think it up and for some reason outspark just can;t seem to figure it out

They could just remove PVP from Abyss... or you could, like whatever1234567 said, reinstate lvls (20-29 30-39 40-49 and so on)

but yeah there's no solution to this OS will decide that wif OsOnSoft in a few years or so done by design

BK ish the same way though we don't care to repeatedly kill our own players cuz 1) it's rude 2) we need them for raids 3) we loose major rep and really fast for killing someone randomly lmfao 4) we build guild's and people up with rep and not down

BK works in teams not against one another in Abyss everyone ish separate and agrees / acknowledges placement or as we call it 'Spot Claiming' xD we don't kill for rooms we leave them alone and request to have it once their done with it yush bright kingdom ish a much better community ish because the American server's have such big egos >.>" -sigh- some people just trying to stand out in a crowd / world they never could or will x.x~

Why make double exp loss? it would be unfair ON THOSE who have lag on entry they'll be killed and loose (like i do if a player kills me 2k worth of exp) so atm its 2k if you do what you say it would be 4k, i DONT need to have exp loss i dont die normally, i hate dyin, but i think having 4k worth of exp wasted is a waste of time

That would work, getting rid of the flipping exp loss in abyss (they do it in kq's) if you think im being unfair thats your prob not mine

o.o Huh?

And I once thought that changing back the level restrictions would solve the problem... o.o But end in end, a lvl 29 can kill a lvl 20 as easy as a lvl 36 can kill a lvl 27. @_@ It may reduce somewhat o.o But who says a lvl 36 won't live in the Abyss, fighting with potions? @_@

Why is abyss even a pvp area. It seems much more useful for grinding with the higher exp, and drop rate. To stop the player killing why not just make it a normal area? Force all pvp to be in fbz that way fights are fair and conducted between those who want a fight. Instead of people sneaking up and killing some one who is grinding while they are in the middle of a battle, or killing people at gates. With this they dont even need to change the lvl limits they could even get rid of limits all together.

That's the freakin' reason PvP is enabled in the first place. Everything can't be handed to you on a golden platter! Seriously, how easy do you want the game to be? It can't get much easier!

High Risk = High Reward

If PvP is removed from Abyss, the high xp/drops are as well, thus defeating the point of Abyss.

How about no kill points if you kill someone 5 lvls lower then you. ABYSS IS PVP so no reason to try to undo that. Making it more fair does add something. Maybe make it so that charms dont work and you cant use SC potions ^_^

I am pretty sure the larger majority of PK'ers don't care about Kill Points as much as people seem to believe.

I could go for the no charms/scpots/ext rule though - but then OutSpark loses money and people complain more because they can't even grind without their precious SC gear.

Well............ almost true. however the 8x abyss has pvp yet it has terrible drops and exp.

The easiest way to fix the whole problem, would be to return it to the way it was. Meaning, if you die from another player, there is no exp loss... If you die from a monster, there is exp loss. That way players could still compete for the "big rooms"(even though killing for a spot is still annoying), but the people getting their spot stolen won't lose the exp they have been working for.
I don't know why they even changed it in the first place. >.<

Phsycologicaly I don't think the reason is for the kill points, I think the reason is the level restrictions which stop dramaticaly higher leveled people from killing lower levels like in FBZ's. And a bonus is the ability to kill someone and let them lose the exp they worked hard for which for some evil reason they like.

Yep, its all for the money, if any solution results in making low money for them it means the solution is as dead as a rotten bananna.

O I know what Outspark will do!!! Put NO BEING ABLE TO KILL THIS PERSON FOR 24 HOUR's certificate in the cash shop, this will defenitly boost sales by a land slide.

Why would you Get rid of Abyss. If you simply Dont want to die and lose XP dont Go there. Nobody is forced to lvl there. Lots of players like Pvp/Pvm areas. If you dont like it Simply DONT go there. And pretend there is no thing as abyss.

This idea is even worse x100 !!!!! abyss is one of the best grinding / drops map available but we'll just get rid of it for everybody because u don't like it :rolleyes:
