Well, the game looks a bit "old" compared to more current ones, but it's still on what might called my candidate list --- I'm looking for some F2P game to play :-) Didn't read about a cash shop on the website, though... so I don't know whether it will stay free.
Either way, most games seem to go the PK route, which is not what I'm looking for. So, my question: does SotS have *any* form of "forced PvP"? Things like PK being enabled on all servers/channels, or a nation system with an ongoing "war" on normal playing maps?

Can't answer ya for sure there...
But i can only say that i've seen alot of movies of the Japanese game where players fight players. Noteable is however that they're usually titled "blabla Event" or somthing. But yea, the game certainly have some sort of pvp, just can't precize when, where or with which conditions.

No idea either, I wouldn't mind it being Ro'esque though.

Well, thanks for the replies.
I don't mind having PvP in the game; I do tend to make a distinction between PvP in general, and PK. PvP includes things like duels (the thing that gives you a message "foo wants to duel you, do you want to accept?") or events that you can participate in if you want to, or stay out of if you don't want to.
PK, in my book, is the form of PvP where someone decides that he wants to attack you, and he just does it. This includes the standard "PK" in many games where you get a minor penalty if you do it, as well as the PK involved with ongoing nation wars where you don't even get a penalty if you PK someone from another nation.
In fact, as far as I'm concerned, PK is completely fine if they make non-PK channels as well, at least on games that don't have PKing as their main content. Cabal would be a good example for an ignorant setup...
On the other hand, with all the PK games out there, I might just take a longer break from online games, and do some other things :-) Which is also why I'm a bit slow in following my threads.
