If you want damage and high attack rate then by all mean use the 2H sword.
Axe have slow attack rate but higher critical.

Best way to deal high damage and atk fast?
Just my personal recommendations here... take 'em with a grain of salt though, as I've yet to experience the warrior past level 30.
Use a 2h axe if:
You prefer PvP compared to PvE
You like using scrolls all the time
You prefer skill spam with scrolls
Use a 2h sword if:
You have less money to work with in terms of scrolls/sp stones/sp potions
You prefer skill spam without scrolls, or you don't like to use many skills
Shortening all that up... if you think you'll have a lot of money and/or you can make your own potions and scrolls, go with the 2h axe. Otherwise, go with the 2h sword.
