:confused: everytime i try to log on it says connection to servers has failed. i redownloaded it a gillion times and it wont let me on i downloaded direct 9 or w/e and still wont let me on.. is there something else i have to do? i also tried mirrors but still... nothing... help... please!

Sounds like a firewall issue. You might want to check that and see if its blocking connection to FO.

yeah, i was guild warring in elderine..when i suddenly got disconnected and now it wouldn't let me back on..it keeps saying connection to log in server failed..Gm please do something about this !!

he does have one gd point, we havent had much feed back from the GM's, and i really want to play. his other point though was off the mark and had no help whats so ever of are problem.

I've seen firsthand what the GMs put up with on a daily basis in the game and on the forums. People are uncaring and overly demanding of things given how much they DO help people.
The other fault is people just look at the first post in a thread and say "me too" but never bother actually looking to find the answers, which more often than not, are littered all over the place. I mean we have some 100+ posts on a few in particular that COULD be answered if people made use of the "Search" engine at the top. However its sadly ignored. :(
When the GMs are not able to, the places also are around to assist if possible.

I know you're not talking about this issue, because I tryed to use the search feature, which told me there was not enough words to my search (less than 4) when I had 6. I also searched manually the entire forum, and looked through every post in this topic hoping to find the solution. I would like to play the game, but unfortunately I can't connect to the login server. I have the latest direct x, no firewall, and all the recommended requirements.
I see a few threads about this problem, and none of them have an answer.

Ok guys I think I know what the connection problem is...(sry about my english I´m from Germany)...
The problem is that the firewall of our routers block the connection to the game as the case may be the corresponding ports...
So all you have to do is to unlock these ports in your router/firewall settings...but there is the problem that nobody knows the port numbers..there is the possibility to detect these ports singly ( you can use "netstat" in the windows cmd)..
OR WOULD A ADMIN PLEASE BE SO POLITE TO TELL US THE PORT NUMBERS????

I´m quite sure that it works because I allready had this problem with WOW..

it is a TCP protocol and the remote address is 207.7.153.79 : 9010 the local addre3ss is for all local network adapters : 1054. i hope this helps everyone

This issue is with your internet connection...

Shows that your PC has never correctly connected with our login server.
1. Please make sure you are not behind a proxy server.
2. Please make sure your firewall is allowing the transmission between our server and your PC.
3. Please make sure other online games work wih your PC.

Anyone had any luck? I still get the message. I can run Guild Wars fine and i tried turning the firewall off and it still doesn't work. Im using the internet connection in my room in university, so im not sure if that could be the problem, but as i said before GW works. Um..not to great with computers so any advice would be welcomed :)

Are you certain that the local adapter port is 1054 and it's static? That's a well-known trojan port, and isn't one that I see open in any form whatsoever when I have fiesta connected.
This is what I see:
TCP Hermes:3580 207.7.153.80:9110 ESTABLISHED
That is with 1 connection to Teva.. if you're on Teva at the time of posting, then I'd speculate that they're using a concentrator to distribute load in some fashion. hmm.

getaddrinfo issues are ISP-related more often than not.. that said, 3 ways this error can occur:
1-Your ISP's DNS server is down... this can be temp, or they may have made upgrades/or are fixing things in your area - that's something they'll have to sort out before it'll play well in that respect.
2-Client fighting with firewall (you said you ruled that out, so we'll skip that)
3-ISP's DNS server can't resolve domain to an IP address or vice versa (this happens on many DSL connections that belong to Yahoo/SBC, I speak firsthand) This is something else that your ISP will have to sort out, odds are the hard-coded DNS/host for client connect didn't get changed without another emergency patch, or no one would be able to connect. I can connect, so I've ruled that out as one of the issues.

DNS = domain name system.. every resource on the internet is assigned an IP address(simplified), which is in the format of: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx ... each of those translates to the http:// that you're used to.
To give you a more visual demonstration.. you can type:
http://207.7.153.70
into the normal URL bar, and you'll see the same as if you typed:
http://www.outspark.com
The DNS box/computer is the one that does the translation from numeric to host, or host to numeric. That's there it appears to be failing, and is why the computer can't find what it's looking for.

Same thing happen to me tonight, ie played the game awhile and i have a internet connection like, now im on the forums posting, but i tried it 5 times everytime it says "Connection to Servers Failed" some info help, im looking at the forums looking for a server crash etc nothing so far if so there would be about 50 threads started.
any info i might need to post to help ?

I've played that game for 1 month now, and just this morning, I always get that message. The problem doesn't come from us but from the server...

1. I'm not behind proxy (oh well, i'm behind one, but I'm still able to do same things as usual.. nothing has changed)
2. I don't have any firewall
3. I can still play every games I use to play, except fiesta

mine will let me log on for a while with my fighter for like 12 mins and then say server disconnected and with my others it disconnects in 1 min

Okay, I just tried the firewall thing (turning it completely off) and it still doesn't work. That message, "Connection to servers has failed" has cause me to finally give up! Man, I was really set on playing this game. Went through all of the correct downloading and everything. I have even went through Google and others to find the fix...nada.
Maybe it could work for someone else... I see that some people were asking how to get to it... so here is a walk through to take down your firewall (even though I would NOT recommend it!).
1. Click on start.
2. Then, click on Control Panel.
3. Click on the Security Center.
4. Near the bottom, you will see an option that says Windows Firewall...yes, I want you to click on it.
5. Change your firewall settings from on to off by clicking the little circle next to off.
6. Remember to click on OK so that your settings change and...TADA, your firewall is down.
Like I said, it is not recommended, especially for wireless INTERNET connections!

right now, the servers are down. they're adding a third server and the estimated down time is two hours. check the forums. you should be able to log in shortly.

Hmmm,just download Fiesta Client from the official site and installed it yesterday..After opening up the laucher for the first time it patched the game one time then closed,reopened the laucher a second time then it patched the game a second time and closed.As I opened the launcher again,it didn't search for new patches (I assume that I have all the lastest patches) but then after I inputted my ID,Pas and logged in there is a white screen for a moment with the mouse of the game shown and then the game screen appear with "connections to servers failed".I tried many time but for the same result.My pc have all the requirement specs for the game (and even better),I verified I'am not behind a proxy and my Windows and antivurs firewall are both disabled (I tried disabling my router 'Huawei Smartax mt800' firewall to no avail...).Some assistace from the GM would be welcome.

Ok mine is back up. i figured it out.. well for me atleast i took off firewall and if any of you have trend micro anti virus? well i had that and i took it off and it let me on. i dont know why it thinks its a virus. (prolly cuz i downloaded the game free like the rest of you) but it worked.

This issue is due to your internet speeds. The .py error is attributted to your internet connection timing out... Please try to connect at a later time or contact a network administrator.

I have an idea that might work, and has for other games ive played. I have the problem too and its only day 1 for me. Try going to your Program files and TOTALLY DELETING your outspark/fiesta folder, and then redowload Fiesta. Im going to try this soon but i dont have the time right now. Feel free to try and give results :)

Ok, i did the folder delete thing and my Fiesta works now! I hope it works for all the other people with this problem! Im hoping it does and it wasnt just something with my computer :)

When you get this error it means that either the server is really down, or your computer cannot connect to it for some other reason.
If its your computer there are things you can try to check for it. Turn off and close down your anti-virus program (yes it can cause problems just like firewalls can), and then turn off and close down your firewall. Of course I don't want you _leaving_ those down this is just to test to see if it resolves the issue. If it does immediately put them back up and someone will try to find you a way to workaround those without openning you up to attacks.
If you still can't connect then the only possibility left (other than that the server is down temporarily for updates or from a crash) is that either Outspark is denying your ISP or your ISP is denying Outspark.
