Event - Win a $10.00 Spark Cash Card!

Yup, that's right! From now until February 18th anyone who joins the IRC channel #outspark will be entered into a random drawing!

Three names will be chosen at random on the 18th of February, the first 3 will receive a $10.00 spark cash card! Also these users must be semi-active on the channel.

If you're wondering "What is #outspark!?" It's an IRC channel that was founded by CL_Ferria and is maintained by several Outspark CLs and users. It's a neutral chat room where any outspark members can come hang out and chat about nearly anything game related or otherwise!

Now if you're thinking "Sweet, so how do I join?"
Here are the steps:

1. 2. Open mIRC the first thing that should pop up is a window that says "mIRC options". Fill out the requested information - You should see the following:

3. After you've done that press OK and then click here (irc://irc.irchighway.net) it may ask which application to open it with, browse to the location that you installed mIRC to and select mIRC.exe (This will connect you to the server that #outspark is on.) After connecting you will then see the following window:

All you have to do from here is type in #outspark and you're connected.

However in the future to connect to the server all you have to do is open mIRC then you will see a lightning bolt in the upper left hand corner of the screen - Click that to connect.

Make sure to post in this thread with your forum username as well as IRC nickname so I can tell who's who.

Make sure AllNiteCafe is the one highlighted. It's the first ont he list, but I didn't know it had to be highlighted. When AllniteCafe is highlighted, I believe that's when you type #outspark in the box

No, Palms if you click on the lightning bolt you should connect to the server and then type /join #outspark

if that doesn't work type /server irc.irchighway.net and then /join #outspark

Are you sure? Whenever I'm on it, there's at least 10 people on...or at least 10 names. Maybe they're just afk.

Either that, or you didn't join correctly. I'd put #outspark and if it says that I joined but no one's there, I know I screwed up somewhere.

Correction: After I click that link, and choose mIRC, it opens a new window asking if I want to connect to this new server, or open a new connection.

-sigh- All it is is a chat room. A bad one at that as the text hurts my eyes. No one talks. -leaves- -opens ventrilo- At least I get to hear people talk in Ventrilo.

Why not make a Vent channel? I mean some people do that, donate to the person paying for it, and they fix that up and everyone uses it, they have channels for the diff servers, ro guilds, or whatever.

So, I'm wondering, is the event over? If so, who won? I've been very out of the loop and it seems like the thread hasn't been updated XD

Either way I'm going to remain as active as I can on #outspark. It's nice to be able to chat to people here in real time other than just posts on forums. Even though I will never understand the coding that goes on, it's still a nice placeto chat for a little bit. I hope more people go on so we can continue the chatting more often XD either that or I have to stop being AFK. Whenever I'm AFK the chats occur and I butt in awkwardly DX
