Xtrap error after the newest patch

lol, thank god I don't have the login error. D: But here is my problem ~

I login normally, select server and join... Then my Fiesta shuts down and this Xtrap message pops up.
I've done full pc scan with Norton twice and once with AVG. They didn't find anything else but cookies, which I removed already.
Im still getting this stupid xtrap message =_= I got error like this a while ago but it fixed by removing cookies.
My anti-virus programs don't find any trojans or worms etc, only the cookies.
So, any ideas what to do? D:
Ohh and yesh, I tried to send a ticket... But ehehe, Im getting an ERROR (how suprising), so I can't even contact a csr. :(
._. seriously I wanna play lol I just bought premium coupon, I got times items on, and Im 8% away from hitting 80. My luck again...? ¬¬

I am having the same exact problem only when that comes up, for some reason my whole pc restarts. I can work on anything else, email, play other stuff on internet, everything....as soon as I try to log into Fiesta I get that same error box and my pc re-boots....very odd.

Well mine didn't restart... But with the earlier xtrap issue it did. [was around january 2008, rofl]

But it didn't go away even I scanned and rebooted pc etc. so now Im redownloading Fiesta. I hope it works after it. :/

Now I've reinstalled and scanned again and blah blah same stuff I told on the 1st post. Im still getting the message... And I don't have anything like a trojan on my pc lol I got TWO anti-virus programs and neither of them detected a worm/trojan/keylogger or anything else that might be causing problems on my pc.

Um. While you may not currently have one, something happened to make X-trap think a virus, trojan, etc. occured. Perhaps even the patch made it think that!

Karp, did you try using Windows Restore? It usually helps, if not, formatting your comp might be your only solution, since your antivirus is not detecting any virus or something.

Occasionally deleting Temp. Internet files works.

Also, did you check the X-trap database?

i got the same problem, but when i reinstalled it now has error codes that are ?(upside-down)!(up side-down), then it closes and another one pops up but it has a 2 at the end. :mad:

Yep... first i get the error that i had a worm... virus or trojan... and after that i got the ?(upside-down) 2 times.
I had avast on my comp.. and after i deleted everything from fiesta i downloaded the trial version from norton.. And shut off avast.
After that i downloaded fiesta again .. install it.. firewall off from norton and ... voila.. i can play again.

Why it not work for other ppl.. :S

Btw saiyou you could post a screenshot of your taskmanager showing all processes.
Someone else with a working Fiesta has to post a screenshot too of his task manager while playing Fiesta. Then we can compare all processes and you could close all the ones that are not on his manager.It might help,cuz I think that Xtrap increased their database of not allowed programs since the new update.(Can't promise that it works but worth a try)
(Would still be nice to hear from a GM or CSR btw~give us a bit hope !)

For me (however i am not an expert) he looks like extreme agresive software witch try access to almost all files at the computer and its looks like there is no way to neutralize him.(he dont even appear at list of programs managed by firewall).
Since 10/28 patch me and my sister are unable to play Fiesta at our 3 month old quad core PC longer as 4 minutes after witch PC show blue screen and commence auto reboot.(as side note my graphic drivers and other stuff are up to date).
I give up attempts to lauch US Fiesta at PC (in order to avoid general system crash) but what is interesting other MMOs (including EU Fiesta) work perfect at high details and not a sign of technical problems.
EU Fiesta dont use X-Trap because thanks to IP block gold spammers have no access theren and thats why x-trap is main suspect in causing of problems at our PC.

3. go to your c drive and manually your fiesta folder.
4. install new copy of fiesta.

God, this sucks... I've been trying to solve this X-trap **** for days now -_- Though it's no use, since im not a super geek when it comes to this stuff.. (Don't get me wrong). Speaking about Bit Torrent.
I hope that Outspark have knowlegde that this particular site is considering as pirates hunting ground.
Not so long ago there was released specific virus (working whit keyword Torrent) witch block most torrent sites.
However there is a catch here, if you want download client you are obligated to use something called DNA laucher witch is somekind of pre launcher, without him there is no chance to download full client.
Did Outspark truly run out of money to place thier game client at such dangerous place?
I really wish that Outspark stop treat our computers as thier property and stop as well put to instalations softwares over witch we dont have any sort of control...

Lastly, remember folks... right now our research shows that only about 1% of our user base is affected by this issue, and of that 1%... most of them aren't even XTrap related :-) it’s just people looking for something to blame their troubles on. Some things to know about X-Trap:

It scans your whole computer and compares the files to a list of known programs that include: all forms of malware, key loggers, torrent files/.dlls, bot programs (altho the gold sites have no problems running theirs), and any other hacks, or hack-like files you might have on your computer.

If you use a P2P downloading program like bittorent or limewire, that or one or more of your downloads could trip x-trap and cause it to lock you out of Fiesta.

X-Trap is an entirely separate program from Fiesta, re-installing Fiesta will only work if the problem is with a broken .dll or missing file from the Fiesta.bin file. This is rarely ever the case, so don't worry yourselves about downloading and reinstalling the game. (can run a reg fixer to maybe salve the issue easier).

Suggestions: download a totally free copy of CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/) and run the cleaning application, then run the registry cleaner. As mentioned above, often times just clearing out your temp. files will unlock x-trap.

Also make sure to run P2P programs from a CD or external drive (if you absolutely must run them at all while playing) as x-trap doesn't scan these... (I guess bots/hacks/etc. fall in this category too...at your own risk).

Delete the X-Trap folder from the Fiesta folder. This will force an X-Trap update on your next login.

Even after xtrap began running normally again, it now is doing it again. I am the biggest non fan of x-trap currently exsisting. I think the amount of errors x-trap brings make it a complete waste of time and sc. My sc items i just got and it has been 5 days now that my money is goin to waste. If the problem isnt fixed i will be a non fan of fiesta forever>.<. "Hey folks, I just wanted to try and clear up some of the speculation about XTrap. So, let's have at it!

First off, as many of you know, XTrap is a tool to stop exploitation of our games. It's a necessary part of our software, and its here to stay. As with all products in beta, it may be a bit bumpy at first but I assure you, once we work out the bugs you'll hardly notice it's there.

Secondly, we realize that some of you are having issues with it. In a manner of speaking, this is a good thing... it shows that XTrap is working! I know you are wondering... how can this be good?! Well, to understand this, you have to understand how XTrap works.

Basically, XTrap looks for certain actions by the user and if they are present, it doesn't allow the game to run. These actions can be one of the following examples:

1. The user has modified game files
2. The user is running a 3rd party program that is not allowed
3. The user is modifying the program dynamically

Now, what's this mean? It means if you are hacking, you will get booted. If you are using programs on XTrap‘s list, you get booted. If you are doing anything that XTrap doesn't allow, you will get booted.

So you may be saying to yourself... "I’m not doing anything wrong, why am I getting booted?" The answer is simple. Some common programs that are normally harmless are interfering. Some of these programs can be:

1. Anti-virus programs
2. Internet security
3. Software for keyboards and mice
4. Multimedia software
5. Torrent programs

And the list goes on! There are many things that could be causing issues

Now I know you are asking yourself... "How can I fix my game? How can I play again?" Well the answer is simple. You have to identify which program is interfering and shut it down. Of course, this is easier said than done, but here is the basic method:

1. Pull up your task manager.
2. Examine your task and process lists and shut down any program you don't need

One last thing is if you're getting disconnected every so often and it's due to X-Trap, you may have malicious software installed. We highly recommend using the latest Anti-Virus/Anti-Adware/Anti-Spyware software and doing frequent scans. Users within the forums have found various minor programs running in the background after doing an anti-adware/spyware/virus scan. Once removed and quaratined, they stopped receiving the disconnects. These programs randomly access your hard drive and will cause X-Trap to disconnect you to prevent any malicious software from accessing our Game Servers. Remember, X-Trap is here to protect us and you as our users. Help us help you by keeping your computer protected at all times!

Lastly, remember folks... right now our research shows that only about 1% of our user base is affected by this issue, and of that 1%... most of them aren't even XTrap related :-) it’s just people looking for something to blame their troubles on.
