I was selling some of my items to Julia the Healer. Whenever I sold one of them I got a message box, to the right of the screen, saying that I had "Failed to sell the item"; despite the fact that all of the sales went through. I got the correct amount of money and the items disappeared from my inventory.
So they were sold, but the game wasn't telling me the opposite.
