DAMN... refining is so hard... i broke 2 consecutive zombie king crusader....blessed elrue/lix/xir doesnt seem to be doi the trick....mayb this game the chances of breaking a equipment should b brought down abit? or implement a policy on refining that when u fail, it can be brought down by 1 lvl but not breaking?

General rules with refining: Don't refine your gears / weapons unless you can afford a replacement.
As for the breaking rate, there will be special items in the fiesta store (whenever it open) that prevent (or reduce) items from breaking.
