***NOOBS have it good in many ways***

The term "NOOBS" (nubs) a.k.a. NEW players has always been perceived and labeled as negative connotations. Most of the time, when someone calls you a "nub" "newbie" or "noob" you get upset and usually feel guilty afterward. Despite being called this, NOOBS have it BEST in SO MANY WAYS when it comes to gaming, and NOT just S.O.S. mind you.

WHY? you ask, well, here is a short list that I have compiled to show you the advantages for being a NOOB.

*Experiencing NEW things for the first time*

Ah...remember the time you stepped foot into the labyrinth and thought to yourself...wow, this is cool, I'm feeling adventurous. Or your first time you partied with a group of people and how exciting it was, or even the first time you've xenned a gear and was successful? That feeling that you get...is PRICELESS. This "feeling" of accomplishment fades over time sadly enough. It's just like taking that first bite of a burger....it is delicious, new, and satisfying. After that first bite, you feel obligated to finish it because you just have to, but every bite after...it does not match the caliber of the first.

*Noobs can make mistakes...and are forgiven*

Ever KSed? (kill steal) or have you ever killed from running away from a mob only to be dropped on someone else? Well, as a noob, you don't feel bad doing this because you didn't know any better. You have that luxury of making that mistake ONCE or maybe even twice, and it is acceptable.

*Every Kron is VALUABLE*

Remember when you were a little kid and received your first quarter or dollar bill and it felt like it was actually valuable? THAT is the nostalgic feeling you get when you first receive your first 1000 kron in the game. After that...kron becomes meaningless and you lose that sense of importance.

So ya, share you're opinion OR add to this list. Agree or disagree. Whatever it takes to let people know...

personally i 100% dont care to be called a noob(and any other form of the word) no matter what the situation is.... :P

but MAN i agree with everyone here, i highly miss those newly found skills of mine(such as sitting etc.) lol i sorta get sentimental when it comes to things like that, to me its the same as remembering when u first met someone... or the good ol' days when u were like 10 years old ;D

but the experiences i miss the most as a noob was first looking at the job tree to see what road i wanted to take, boy i saw that templar and said HELLZ YEAH!!! so i made myself a wee little nooby aco named Zacharias... well to me(cuz i was a noob lol) grinding seemed sooo hard and long.... *oh i also miss an app that would ALWAYS duo with me when i was an aco* so at lvl36 i retired my aco for the time being and became squire, well training was rlly alot more fun to me(sadly by this time my dear friend had quit :/) well around lvl36ish i trained in the bunny lair, oooooh the lag :x.... but the bunny lair was the BEST experience in all and the most fun thing that SOS has[er i say has cuz there hasnt been anything better yet, imo] to offer imo :P i met cialana, starlight323, XxXAngelXxX, zodiarrk(doesnt play anymore), BEC024(doesnt play anymore), and a couple others whom i still(sometimes :/) talk to ;]

When I first started and was just an Acolyte (Not Takumi) and getting used to things I couldn't understand the difference between yellow and white eggs so I got mad when no one replied when I was all alone in the map with white eggs...

Hmm...just Hold Shift AND at the same time hold the RIGHT MOUSE PAD and simply move the mouse up and down. This doesnt work indoors though fyi.

Hmmmm I remember back in CB asking rider how you get the blue GM to show up in front of his name he laughed and said I was cute lost and confused I saw him 4 days later in the lab and I asked a again he laughed sat down and we talked I asked him how do you sit he laughed again as my pt came in he left and they all said OMG that was a GM why didn't you tell us after they told me what a GM was I sat there for hours laughing it was the coolest feeling know ppl always want to talk to a GM and me not knowing what one was I sat there and chilled with one.

Set a char goal mine was on my main (my cleric) to make RI into a guild with my friends that's all my aco was for the GM and my freinds want RI as a guild so I set my self at it when I got that next was to get my
neo to get invs
My appy to get small box helm
My cleric to get major heal
My neo to get new cool dagger
I did them all and got that same feeling and u also get that newb smell too always good

I remember seeing someone AOE for the first time - I was in a small party with friends and this guy runs by with that big mob and we were all amazed, we even followed him for awhile to see how he was not dying like we did if even 2 monsters hit us! lol Those were the good old day :D

Just took a second in Bryn, or Essene, or right outside them, and listened? It seriously brings back a nostalgic feeling of first playing the game.

I learned that you could hold down a hotkey to use it over and over around lvl 5x. That was interesting to learn. XD

I loved my first guild experience. Figuring out how to talk in guild chat was fun too. XD

Haha, me too! I used to join in yellow-egg conversations with white eggs all the time. And I'd sit there and pout because I thought I was being ignored since no one ever replied and the conversations went on as if they hadn't seen my comments (which they in fact hadn't). XD


Exploring maps for the first time was awesome. My friends and I would have exploration parties and make our way on-foot from one town to another, sometimes conquering maps that were a little tough for our levels.
