I just came to level 14 Almost 15. It was not too grindy and the quests qas quite fun to do.

My question for you guys is, when you get on the higher levels, will the game get very grindy like maplestory.

Which means you have to kill the same monster for over 10hour+ to get JUST ONE LEVEL

I doubt it. I think Viney got to lvl 30 in like 2-3 days.

Plus, there are many strong monsters. And I am sure more monsters + quests will be added once people start reaching those higher levels.

well i must this now that they better boost the xp from quests or add tons more in level range, becuase i was stuck grinding from every level after 20!
i mean the 28 level quest to kill a bunch of ghost ninjas, crap. Gave me 1100 xp out of the 180k i needed to level! So seriously outspark do something about that quest issue but otherwise the monsters do give good xp if you are near there level. If you too high for them xp is crap, same goes for if you too low the xp is crap! So it kinda makes it so you have to grind on creatures around your level to get anywhere which sucks cause i like going for the hard to beat monsters to get the really good xp like in other mmo's but not this, oh no not this one.

Well if you think about it. If someone got to a certain level in 2-3 days means they played all day long and even through out the night. That is grinding my friend. This game, WS, was built on PvP and grinding. It is meant to make you spend lots of time gaining the next level, but it is worth it once your character is stronger and can take on more monsters!

yea i know but i dont want to play a game that has a grindy system as bad as maplestory. Seriously, i was counting every exp i was getting in maplestory and i counted how long it would get for me to take a level because it was so grindy. I counted that i get 10% every hour, which means i need to grind on the same monster for 10 hours.

Very fun, eh?

If you don't like to grind, you probably won't like this game.

1-30 doesn't take too long, as mentioned, but the exp to level rises pretty quickly. 29-30 was maybe 2 hours or so of grinding.

The quests in this game aren't really for the exp, they're for the recovery items and money. Sure, it'd be nice if they gave larger exp rewards, but I think it's fine as it is. Leveling ought to be a challenge, otherwise everyone would just shoot up to high levels (kinda like how Fiesta is now that they've added a ton more quest exp).

in fiesta I played my fighter for a year with quest and I ended up with a level 26 clever fighter in a year and this game kind of grindy well it took me the whole closed beta test to get a level 13 archer 2 if those days I played strait

well i will say that the exp for the high lvls do get a bit high its a challenge to lvl up... but thats how things should be

like others have said if its to easy then everyone would just sweep trough the lvls and be way to high in a matter of days

as for grinding goes yeah it can get a little repetitive but thats only trough your point of view

most of the quests thend to keep you stuck to killing minsters to get a certain item in order to finish it and if you go with the mentality to clear the quests instead of the grinding to lvl

also as you get higher so does the exp that comes from killing the monsters when you reach the same lvl as a monster you will be in the peak of the exp it gives to you so you always have a good place to go train that doesnt take much time

also the boss monsters that are spread trough out the place give a very decent amount of exp and arent as uber hard to kill compared to the normal mobs for each city so they are a good trainign place once you get high enough to get the most of them

hope this advice works and have fun when ob comes if you are playing that is =P

I've been able to level pretty easily without having to grind too much.

The abyss can help at times (massive numbers of weak monsters that give great experience... 2k per monster, 40-50 killed at a time... we could get three of those runs in a minute, and we only needed 8m experience, max. Goooood XP.)

Also, I went from level 78-80 in 2 days, from questing. Using only quests I got at that level. Easy =DD

I didn't bother leveling in OBT

But in gng version, I got too 26 in 2 days..

Remember GNG version didn't have 2x rates, unlike outspark.

I can level once, even close to twice in 10 hours, and I'm level 145.

What were you?

I thought we were talking about WindSlayer... not MapleStory...

Back to the topic, i played CB from the 9th to the 13th, and only got to level 12.. How are you suppose to train with a rogue when there are 3 other people in the map? And i played PvP a bunches, so that can add to why I didnt get so high.

But GrimmJow was lv. 30 assassin and yet he had the highest rank in PvP arena, so maybe I just suck?

heh, i don't grind, i just play for fun, not levels. ill i really want is lvl 30 and that's it.

when you play longer, you will learn more things about the game, get a higher level, and have fun with it.

i played MS, and i had fun just hanging out. chances are, unless you no-life the game and ignore all of your family and friends, you won't be the best in the game. just take your time, and you will come out on top. :3

take it easy, there's no contest, you basically have an unlimited amount of time when OBT comes out to get better, so just play. =]
