Using/Useage of Bots question

I was in Uruga the other day and was roaming around when I saw someone to the name of KOHaa (or something like that), a cleric, with a "group" of what looked to be bots. The reason I say this is I sat and watched this group for a while. KOHaa would be rest, walking around, jumping and whatever else but his three party members would sit there motionless till something spawned, then all as one went to attack then stopped again motionless till another something spawned.

To add to this they also attacked other players hunts, which again made me question the useage of bots. Is this one person controlling 4 characters? (1 person and 3 bots) or is there something I'm apparently missing here. Some have said Multi-tasking but how is that possible with 4 characters and 3 of them moving in unison at the same time something spawns?

Are we allowed to do anything to these people or do we just leave it in the hands of the GMs?

The area they were in was the "chicken" area of Uruga. Not enough mobs around to be able to do such.

My first thought was, free experience. If you have to group to be able to hunt there, you could always just hang around them. Let them aggro the mobs and then join in. They take the damage, do the work and you just leech experience off them.

However, if its legal to be using bots, then by definition I'd be the one doing something illegal then. That's why I was curious what the GMs had to say about such.

Does someone know, how to create a bot??
Is there a programming API, or are they 'reading' the Screen?

It's hard to say. I just think its bots because the 3 stand motionless till something spawns then they all, as one, run in to attack. On top of this they attack other players mobs too.

It might not be bots, several commands could do something like that. The follow command would keep them coming after the cleric, and the assist (i think thats what it was called) would make them keep attacking. For all we know, the people could be away from the computer. However, if it was bots, sick a mob on them. Bots are bad for the game and the environment.

I used to see this almost everyday at Lumi stone 1, at Skeletons. 2 Brains, 3 A.Is.

I doubt it's about the assist action.
