Mining and the little bar.

Someone mentioned in an earlier post about the little bar that moves when you are mining.. he said if you hit the vertical bar when the moving bar hits it, the ore is yours instantly..

i haven't had that experience.. On three occasions i have been able to get the ore early.. but it appears you have to hit the orange bar the moment the moving bar moves past it.. and from what i can tell the window of opportunity is VERY small, because i've only been able to do it three times today.

is there something i'm missing?

Be happy you got it to work at all. I've been trying forever and have NEVER gotten the chance to hit the bar - and my coordination skills are pretty spot on. I probably just have lag with the server...

Still, it does seem really difficult.

so what are you suposed to do with the bar, like do i click on it

Supposedly hold your cursor on the yellow bar and click it as soon as the green thing touches it and you'll get everything right away.

What I do is just click-click double when its on or right near that line inside the bar. You won't always get something if you managed to click it but most of the time it just means you finish faster so you can collect and move on.

That's too bad.. it could be fixed.. but i bet it never will... if they just increased the window of opportunity for the clicking it would work ok.. but it will get put into a pile of things they never fix..

If this is like most MMO's they'll fix the major bugs, and ignore the rest and concentrate on new content rather then getting all the existing stuff working correctly..

I hope this isn't like most MMO's :)

I hit it quiet often. About 7 out of 10 ores i mine ,wich is really quickening mining up if you farm ores for stonecreation or compositionskill. Took me a while to figure out on what position of the moving bar i have to klick relating to the small hitbar tho but after like 100 ores in a row i got it. ( For sure it is depending on my condition hehe not working very wel when i am totally tired)
