move to teva o.O and i organized this raid in 1 week ;x all 4 threads made by me x.x...all organization all tactics everything basically outlined by me Eldryst was the one who took care of everything IG i got everyone together ^ ^ my voice sticks out in the teva community x.x everyone knows me *cough* at least all the high lvl / good players anywho xD the thing that leads to failure is the immaturity in people and the ignorance in most. and i do agree =\ u guys did rush a bit trying to beat us wasnt the best idea lol i lost count of our total member count but just by looking i could tell most (if not all) of our 7x+ people where there and ready to take down that place it was interesting how i could lead them all and have then all listen to me o.O most of which did and some even helped me enforce what i was saying so everyone could understand together we pulled it off and im happy that we did for it shows teva has the ability to work together x.o~ we do have those people with big egos that just have to kill eachother but that's saved for PvP u guys just need a lil bit more respect for eachother x.o~ and know what comes before what o..o helga before war x.o!?

Actually i think the top reason that teva suceeded today was the overwhelming numbers. Compared to previous raids we kept the low lvls there at a minimum, while we managed to get many high lvl players.

im not sure if it is that clear in the videos, but techinically we had 3 blobs of ppl localized in 3 different locations:

1. one of the groups were located in th I/H 6 area in order to attack helga when he reaches the passageway.
2. another group is located near the gate to challenge the oncoming kallaps and hell guards. their goal is to primarily fight off all oncoming mobs except helga.
3. finally, the puller group. Suprisingly, it didn't matter as much where the main tanks were located. the mobs were killed as fast as they came at us, while one of the tanks goes up and pull helga and make his way back.

if i were to say wat our improvements were is that there were more ppl, the concept of splitting up and converging on a target was accepted, and the fact that almost an hour was spent trying to get the main tank parties up, while making sure other ppl knew wat they were doing ._. (i would personally like to thank all those who tried to get others to be quiet xD)

and on another note block rate ftw, i managed to block at least 2 helga hits while pulling him to the passage and i did not get feared o_O (i was the little green guy running past the camera with helga behind me )

*may post any other new things i thought about the post-raid later.

Please note the chaos that resulted after they pulled Helga ... this is why we want to avoid the middle. While it was fast, they did suffer many losses after pulling Helga. It definitely took them a while to recover.

one more word of advice;

the clerics in my pt mainly died not from mobs, but from helga himself
if a tank dies let it be known not to rush right up to rez them..becuz helga might fear and go after them or they might get caught in his aoe..just a heads up from wat i saw

also something i noticed with red's helga grouping is that the groups were arranged poorly so that nobody stuck to them which caused so hectic stuff before we even went in.

I'm personally going to put parties together (or at least the tanks and clerics), and I wanted to try and even out cleric distribution so that no tank has too many clerics or leaves another tank with little or weak support.

i.e.

Tank 1 has Clerics 1 (lv89), 2 (lv73), and 3 (lv61)
Tank 2 has Clerics 4 (lv89), 5 (lv 76), and 3 (lv59)
Tank 3 has Clerics 7 (lv 87), 8 (lv79), and 9 (lv64)

and so on and so forth. The reason there's only 1 DD per party is because the tanks need the clerics. So do the DDs, but really, they only need the party buffs (and clerics to notice if/when they die). I know there are some DDs that like to be paired together or are married. If such is the case, they cannot be in the luring parties. Its too risky in that main room for a tank to be short one cleric. Three should be enough to guarantee safety for each tanker to lure helga (unless they get completely mobbed, which -shouldn't- happen if they slowly progress towards the ore and lure any agro'd non-helga monsters back to the defense group).

Quick note: The 1 fighter, 3 cleric, 1 DD rule is going to only apply to the luring group. It will also apply to the two parties from the assault group that house the two standby Helga tankers.

Sorry about that Hika and Vi3t. Our last raids were ... messy. This'll be the first raid with a plan behind it, so I pray it goes more smoothly than the others, if nothing else.

And as far as money goes, you dont need to go all out for the test run. We're only going to pull helga, by no means are we going to try tanking him...

And on the day of the raid, if the plan is executed correctly and things are still too intense for us, I'm going to call it quits long before spending 4 hours in that tomb. I'm not going to put the players thru financial hell just for the off-chance of being able to kill helga.

There should also be archers, mages, clerics and a good tank with the assault in the back of the tomb.

When a tank lure helga we need to take down the hell guardians first before we going to the assault. Tanks should keep helga behind the gold ore and the luring party take down the kallaps and hell guardians. After that everybody join the assault w/o any other mobs only helga.

To prepare good some ppl need to lure hell guardians to far in the back of helga tomb till theyre stuck before the raid.

Lol helga's aoe is vicious. As far as I know, I don't believe Helga fires it off until the tank stops moving and actually tries to tank helga. I'm praying that that's the case because if Helga can fire it off while moving, our defense group is going to have at least one minute where pure luck decides whether we win or lose ~.~

As far as killing off the hells go, I know that we need them dead, but by trying to kill them while in that room, we run the risk of being swarmed with spawns. It's happened in many previous raids and we -really- dont want that to happen. After the defense group clears some space for the luring group to go do their job, we want the luring and defense groups working together so that the lurers can get Helga, and get to safety (with Helga in tow) before spawns gb us. The defense group will have numerous tanks (so far, we have 4), and plenty of DDs (fighter, archer, and mage) to kill off the hells. The only thing we need to worry about is getting the Helga tanks and clerics from the luring group back to safety in one piece.

I'm gonna have another thread up to explain each of the groups more closely in detail. As it stands, what I've given you so far is the "role" each group is supposed to play as well as the "average party" breakdown. Which is way too vague ;3

I'm gonna look into seeing if we can get people to help get hells stuck in that back area ^^ Thread will be up later on today for those of you interested in helping out with that.

Everybody is going to watch Helga die, whether they're from assault, defense, or luring ^^ Luring group is either tanking helga or dealing damage, defense group is either killing kallaps and hells that are trying to interfere or killing helga himself, and assault group is doing the same as the defense group :3

(I'm hoping others can record this as well as myself. I don't wanna be the only one recording Helga's death ;P)

Like I said before, I don't want to force people to go someplace, when they have a location they'd prefer to go to beforehand. Also, most players are aware of their limits. If you're an axe fighter with only 1k defense, you should know better than to ask to be in the luring group. Unless something is -really- off with someone's request, in terms of groups, I don't see picking your own group as being a problem =P

But I do have one question: will people who don't use the cash shop and any items from it thus that could be useful for defeating Helga be allowed to participate,or is this cash shop people only?

Cash shop or not, if you can be useful in the process of killing Helga, I'm begging of them to come :3 I'm actually one of the few no-cash-shop users who have been in a number of raids.

However, if anybody plans on tanking Helga, they're going to need to get some charms and extenders. Even with all +9 gear and a full end build, Helga will still one-hit you ^^;

Okies, switched you to defense. I have no problem with you helping maintain order, but keep in mind where I need you and the other ranged DDs placed.

If other players see you moving forward into the fighter zone, they might start getting antsy and start moving forward as well. After that, it won't be long before squishy DDs get in front of the defense tanks, grabbing agro, and causing all kinds of hell ><

I'm finally done posting all the threads, polls, and info that will be needed for this raid (phew @.@; ). Only thing I'll be doing now is editing participant lists for the pre-raid and raid. I'm also going to put another index on the first page of this thread. In case any of the lesser threads regarding this raid dies, you'll still have a way to reach them.

guys i tought of a tactics we can safe clerics at helga i hope if u ppl know if it works.

the dots are just players. u see where helga is the big dot. i putted one tank on helga . and 2 tanks behind that tank. behind helga are dd . if u see helga next to her is a wall. and behind that wall are all clerics. if it is right clerics can heal the tankers. but the aoe from helga wont hit the clerics bc the wall is between. so the clerics are safe. behind the dd are 2 clerics and a tank. incase some kallaps come in they can take it dd's will help of course.

is this a good tactic and will the wall stop the aoe? if this is true it will be easy.

I'm actually not sure about the wall tactic o.o; Up until now, all aoe's have had a pre-decided range, and would hit everything within that range. Considering the game's programming, Helga's aoe is probably the same way.

Actually, now that I think of it. Helga's aoe is the same...

I remember one of the times where we had him being tanked, and I was coming to the aid of my tank from the gate (returned after being killed ~.~ zzzz) and I had one last corner to turn, but before I could turn it, a big dark purple wave of air hit me for 22k (?) dmg ... that was Helga's aoe.



But the one thing thats obvious is that we need revivers -.- I'll see if I can get a few lv40-60 clerics to come (they'll be from my guild; they wont mess anything up). And if our tanks can be happy with their support without me directly being in any tanking parties, I'll personally see to it that myself and the other revivers will be nearby and ready to work if that dam aoe gets fired (but not too close, ofc)



One last thing. For those of you that don't know, Bijou has killed Helga sometime around the time of our pre-raid.

I find it interesting because all three servers killed Helga on Saturdays in succession. Which, in English, means Apoline killed Helga on a Saturday, then Teva did it the next Saturday, then Bijou did it the Saturday after that. . .so what happens this upcoming Saturday?

I was there, but as far i as knew we were there to practice for orona's raid, which i will still be there for depending on Helga's spawn time. I am not ledgendary guild but i got dragged along by my hubby. It was still a good team effort, so many who did the work arn't getting much of the praise for it, if any, while certain others roll in it >.<
