Whats You opinion about Clerics/paladins having high defence and low damage rate.

well here's myn;: i'm had kinda enough about that clerics have 2 damage skills(what does barly Any damage) why does the cleric/paladin have so much defence if they barly need it, we already got our defence by healing.

and 1 last thing, how about a new weapon for a Cleric maby a 2Handed?
or atleast a special shield?.

Agreed. But to elaborate more with some examples...

Clerics are too support-orientated and lack offence, and compared to other classes and other games, clerics:

- Lack damage from base stats, and weapons
- Have no disable or debuff skills whatsoever (eg Fighters have stun, Mages have fear, slow etc)
- Have No AoE ability

To shift clerics from being so defensive and boring, changes are required. For example, in other MMO games, healers have disables such as silence (can't use skills for short duration), decreased speed/attack rate/damage/defence, strip weapon/armor etc.

As for damage skills, improve the existing ones (Bash is crap and trip/bleed is pathetic) or better yet, implement better ones. A cool idea from an MMO game I played has it that healers have a 'Copy' skill whereby a targeted skill can be reflected, and this works really well.

A 2-handed weapon or hammers with higher damage are an easy solution also.

- Cleric's get disable buff at lv 95: "Reverse Order" (Unables your opponent to use SP skills by cursing him/her with God's power.) [So wait till next cap patch]
- Clerics got more than one AoE healing ... (they are not supposed to fight!)

^ We know full and well that clerics are mainly a support class thank you very much =.= Your response is a typical unhelpful "if u wanna fight, choose a different class" which we've heard too many times.

My point is that after playing other MMO's, clerics in this game are less fun because they TOO support. I do not imply that clerics should have damage like that of mages, but only suggest that their offense be improved.

It's great to hear that clerics finally get a disable in the coming patches though, it's been a long time coming.

IF a cleric is NOT meant to fight why do we have a hammer/mace, Bash and the BROKEN Trip/Bleed?

Maybe they should just take the weapons off us and give us a bunch of roses to hold!

Just because skills have been released in other versions of the game does not mean we will get them. This is obvious in that there are already skills in other games for the current lvls but we dont have them yet.

Whoopie dooo to the aoe healing skills, apart from keeping the party alive what benefit are they to the cleric?

Each 10 levels mobs HP increases by a large amount but a clerics attack increases minimally. It takes a *support* cleric 30 hits to kill something a fighter can kill in 4-5 hits. Yes fighters are supposed to be stronger but you try filling in time solo killing at that rate and watch how slowly your exp climbs.

note: a cleric is a holy warrior, not a medic or white mage like you'd see in other games, we are supposed to have SOME battle ability and SOME support ability a balance of the 2 not entirely support
..... that's pretty much my opinion on the subject ....
and to Miazma, yeah it would certainly be nice if they'd fix the Trip/Bleed skills x.x

Ya my point is that clerics are mainly support chars, sure they got 2 (later 3) meele attacks but do u feel strong with these hits? they are for solo'ing indeed but i could ask the same.. why do they got: revive? of course not to revive themself!

Just because skills have been released in other versions of the game does not mean we will get them. This is obvious in that there are already skills in other games for the current lvls but we dont have them yet.

I dont think they will remove that skill in the next cap patch, cause they gave us all skills till now ... but i think they will change the cooltime and so on :eek:

the thing is, i like the Gameplay of Clerics/paladins but... if we realy need to find a Party to help you/yourself out because you cant handle a mob to kill for a quest(for example) then it aint fun anymore i know many different game where healers/clerics/paladins are a Great Ruler in the game because they got many attack skillls/styles but i'll still give the clerics/paladins in Fiesta a chance to use as my main.

I think we could end this Thread like every other of that type...

Class balance of Fiesta is just really reall really BAD

Ok, as far as attacks go, here's something I haven't seen anyone suggest before. How about an attack skill using our shields? I mean, do you see the size of the lvl80 shields? I would hate to get hit by one of those things. Plus, the edges are sharp.

(reminds me on other games *cough* nvm)

but clerics dont get such a skill :(

112: "Mighty Chop/Mighty Punch" (like always a new mace/hammer skill)
110: "Deadly Blessing" Critical strike with 100% chance.
110: "Benediction" Strikes a physical attack at your target.

these skills are at 89>129 no more other attack skills :(

Got to agree with Joey

TheCompanions, I am one of the strongest Clerics you will ever meet. I have enhanced weapons and armor, all my gear has high STR stats (my body armor is 'godly' statted STR, DEX, and END...going to hate losing it at Lvl 80, although my 80 armor is decent), STR rings, and I am a FULL STR build. A Level 85 END Cleric posted their stat window and I noticed that I was doing more DMG in my very late Level 60s than this person did at Lvl 85. I hit very very hard. Ive beaten many similar level Fighters in many of my past escapades

It may say that clerics aid and everything and that they are built to be healers but that does not say whatsoever that you MUST be a healer.
