The sad thing is, it might take longer to get into CB for SOS than it did Fiesta. The Outspark community was quite a bit smaller back then and I was lucky to get rushed into week 2 of CB.

People in the Fiesta CB/Older members got less of the invites apparently since they did it randomly, which meant that everyone account had a fair chance of getting an invite. Someone could've just spammed accounts :/

As i read in a previous post, it seems most people that got invited are the people that only signed up like yesterday! this is exactly what i thought would happen.

Rather then inviting people that have been EAGERLY awaiting all over the forums, they have invited people who just signed up for the fun of it, how incredibly stupid..

I was so excited too.. was looking forward to attempt winning the lvl up contest, i really am not happy..

Thanks but I honestly dont believe that should mean that I diserve an invite more than any others. We all equally deserved a chance at an invitation. About the event thing, I honestly dont think the GM's know how to run an event if their choosing who gets the chance to win the event in the first place.

Thats the thing about giving out a release date before the game is ready to be released...its bad for business. If you cant release on time...you have to compromise...and that causes lots of comotion...as well as bad reputation.

I belive its because Stats distribution is far diferent from any other game. You need to raise str for all 10 first lvls..that makes your attack good enabling you to exit the biginner zones. After lvl 10 theirs a stats reset. Much like..omg...obviously im about to say RO lol!

Long time again since I've posted. But yea, the way the invitations have been done are bogus.

No offense, but as earlier was mentioned here that there'll be several people with an invite who don't even plan on playing it. One of the first days when there was only a flash movie with a song on the SoS site I tried to inquire about how we were able to register for the beta through PM, simply because I loved the song. Didn't get a response, wish they did so I could have given a suggestion in time. It wouldn't surprise me if half of the invites have gone to waste.

And no, I did not receive an invite. If I did I would still have complained.

Not too many people did. They sent out enough for roughly 1/4 of the entire forum population according to my extrapolation (and the poll-hey, statisticians need information and polls too, ya know?). In the interest of science, I will not be making a statement toward how many more invitations will be sent...as making an uneducated statement would be against the very nature of the scientific man.

Sadly Outspark didn't even ask for this information. I've beta'd over 20 games and religiously report errors;still not invited since Outspark is oblivious to this.

When you get the activation e-mail that's just saying that you were able to register on the website. It doesn't mean that you can play the game. Game companies (and outspark is not substitute) use more formal methods for inviting players. I'm sure they randomly select those that provide help or show good potential for being beta players. Those that beg over and over again to be invited probably won't get in because it shows that they're impatient.

So if you didn't get a PM on these forums or an e-mail personally from the GM staff or outspark saying that you've "Been invited to beta test SoS" then I'm pretty sure that it's safe to say that you weren't invited and cannot play the game.

I haven't, but hope too sometime before the Closed Beta is done with. Even if it's the last week or something it'd be nice to play. If not, then oh well I guess. I'll just wait patiently for the Open Beta to start.

How would a GM know if you were interested or not? Of course, some people who don't have interest have been sent invites.
