Dear Epith Players,
It has come to my attention that a number of players are wondering why I am so hopeful in our ability to defeat Helga. To that, I ask you, "Why shouldn't I be hopeful?"
The conflicts between major guilds?
The inability of some raiders to listen?
The number of failed raids so far?
All of those are un-avoidable factors, especially considering that we need so many participants for this. Those are obstacles that we, as a server, have to deal with and work around. Once we can get over those little obstacles, taking down Helga will be easy.
What we cannot do is promote skepticism among other players. We cannot look to start fights. We cannot see somebody that we hate or dislike, and start wondering "How can I ruin his/her day?" Everybody on Epith is a player of Fiesta (and a lover of it, if you've gotten far enough into the game). No matter what they've done in the past, they are players, and should be treated as such.
Epith has so much unrealized potential. I see that we have ability to defeat Helga, and I want to show it to the other three servers as well as the OutSpark staff. For those of you who believe that we are incapable of killing Helga ... no matter what your reasons, the implication you are making is that Apoline and Teva are better than us.
Speaking of Apoline and Teva ... believe it or not, both servers had issues on the days of their raids. They didn't mention it on the forums, because they were so pre-occupied with their victories, but some of the raid leaders mentioned these to me. Which tells me this...
No matter how well a person can plan, something is bound to go wrong. But those wrongs can be fixed. I can't do it alone, however. I need the help of the optimistic players as well as the group leaders whom I will be selecting in the near future.
To the skeptical players, if you have the power to help, and you choose not to attend the raid, you are placing Epith in a position to fail yet again. If you are criticizing me, the plan, or Epith as a whole in any chat other than whispers, you are demoralizing our Helga raiders.
I like to think I have an open mind. Otherwise, I wouldn't have looked through Teva's and Apoline's subforums for Helga information. I wouldn't have asked the successful raiders for their advice and suggestions. Keeping this in mind, if you have something you want to say, go ahead and say it here, so that I can hear it and respond to it.
Lastly, I want to point out that if you look through the first few pages of my Helga Raid thread, you'll notice something unusual. There is nearly a page's worth of "good luck" and "you can do it" from members of all three servers.
If they can support us, why can't you?
