Pointless Licenses

Seriously, why do people put stupid GK/Mara/Marlone/LT/Etc. licenses on weapons. Lately I have seen tons of weapons (many +9) with these pointless licenses 1% complete. It's stupid, takes up space, and kinda ruins them.

Probably for the title. My ex on his archer, for example, was kinda known for getting the last hit on robo in kq for people who needed it. So just for kicks, we put a robo license on his bow so he could have the title Robo Killer for kq. That's probably the one and only time I've seen a license like that used though... well, other than a legendary tree license as a joke one time a while ago.

Actually if someone is bored and is planing on soloing one of these boss's that 15% extra damage boost you get from the lic is very good for killing them
and yes titles are fun :D

Remember the *License Clear* item in cash shop hasnt been around long. Putting crazy licenses on a weapon knowing you would never complete it was a way of making sure your name lived on forever on that weapon :D

If you make a character for farming said boss specifically, might as well go for a license.

Pretty sure the point is WHY? Show me a weapon with a completed boss license on it, pretty sure you wont find one on the site. The OP is asking because he beleives it is a waste of a license spot.

However he has been given some valid reasons for why:

15% additional damage if you are farming a boss is a nice boost.
the creator tagging the weapon with his/her name.

OR MAYBE it is a Fiesta conspiracy and the GM's sit and +9 weapons and put crazy licenses on them just to make sure they get more sales for the *License Removal* item from cash shop. *sarcasm intended*

i saw a lvl1 +9 sword with a legendary tree lic .. it was at 3%

I recently found this out.

If you add licenses to your weapon...

-you dmg starts going up (belive me i tried this with several lics)
look in your stats screen and pay attention to the dmg
now keep building ur lic and you'll notice the dmg goes up
now im not sure but i think it only goes up when your in range of lic monster

-not to mention that if you complete a license with extra crit BOOYA!
you can find out which lics give crit by going to fiesta wiki created by fiesta fan

idk if anyone actually reads the quest text but when zach gives you the lisc for goblin king he says use this to become more powerful and beat the goblin king...not in those words but close....maybe someone couldnt beat the boss without that extra 15%? eh who knows thats my 2 cents

actually, I was thinking of putting the boss lics on my hubby's noob if I can get one..lol...it will be pretty cool if he actually clears it and we have additional who knows how many % extra damage on it.

I put a Mara license on my mages lvl 15 weap just for the title. A noob came up to me in sea of greed and asked me to kill Mara for him. I said I'd try and help and off we went. While we were looking for her he asked "Who is the Speedy Boogy Killer? cos I need them next". Took me a while to realise he thought I was "THE" Mara killer cos of my title. He thought when people had to kill Mara they came to me as part of the quest. I laughed so hard I nearly broke my own face. So yeah there's a good reason to use a useless licence... Cos you may just get a good laugh out of it ^^

I have had a sword that I lent out to friends and guildmates for nearly a whole year with a goblin king lic on it, and the % keeps going up and up on it. I know that if swords like these stayed in the market for long enough (people buy them, use them, then sell them to someone else) they will eventually complete.

Though, with the greediness of Bijou, that will never happen. But maybe a server with a better economy it would happen. (people on Bijou try to sell everything for more than they payed for it, so the prices keep shooting up)

Maybe back in the day of npc gear and no enhanced weps except from trying with blesseds, or robo kq. But... well... no, even back in those days we just asked the guild for help and partied up. Actually, for mine back in those days, lol a level 50 cleric soloed it for me. I died a few times but at least he always rezzed me. xD

No, I mean that I see quite a few +9s with those kind of licenses. Perhaps people would be more apt to buy them if they were clean of them.

Mara
Marlone
Robo
Goblin King

Without the licenses. And the list will grow...
