I'm trying to find out how much of a difference and comfortability do you notice when your in a party with one mage, archer, fighter and your the cleric. But...the fighter is either a tank or a DD, so the question is....how much of a difference can you notice partying with a DD compared to partying with a tank?

And your grinding with this party(mobs). Its all classic, no one has scrolls and no one has extenders, greens or whatever. But they do have buffs from the cleric.

For me, I can spot a pretty big difference, with a tank I can lay off him for a good while to moniter the other guys, he has immense hp and defence let alone great skill in knowing when to mock which makes me feel so much more safer and topping it off with deva. We can take as a party a much larger load of mobs than I ever did with a DD. They can take care of them selves for a great period of time without a cleric just by using stones alone. Its a like a massage with them. Since I have spare time to take care of my other team mates I also socialize while fighting with my party, its very fun. I feel very comfortable.

With a DD....well they got my heals...all of them...literally...actualy I have no time to moniter any other group members. Their life goes down faster, limiting us from true potential of a mob. Don't really use mock quite often actualy, usualy only relying off of deva which scares me a little. Some can take care of them selves using stones but for a dramaticaly very short time. I also have about seconds to type down things I want to say and socialize but.....I just know it results in a screaming DD. I sometimes feel scared.

So how much of a difference can you spot? And if you can tell by experience it would be better to.

Eh not that much different for me. No matter what type of Fighter, in normal condition it's their job to tank. Personally, I like DD Fighter more, they kill extra fast. At lv 79, DD Fighter (I assumed DD is 2h weps user) has around 1k def in full party (if they have no +9 gears) and 4.2k+ hp (with Cleric Endure), which is more than enough to tank anything in FoS (except maybe a bit trouble with elite mobs ex: Legendary Tree).

As long the Fighter knows how to tank/aggro, I couldn't care less what type of Fighter.

For me I don't really care about speed of kill, a game is to have fun and socialize which I utilize the most when I'm partying, especialy with good tanks. I don't spend my time leveling though, just hanging with friends.

all in all it doesn't realy matte as long as they got buff soem ok equips and soem scroll they are gernaly fine as a pure end fighter i can tank well doesn't mean there isn't a DD with more def. Coz end stat add 1 def ever 2 end so its kinda dissappointing.(consider 80 end is 40 def and 80str is 96 dmg=\ not every fair stat lol) and as for DD killing faster no matter how high their dmg is they are never going to out dmg a mage so might as well just get a mage to kill faster.

Well with a tanker built fighter can pull larger mob and get more exp faster. With DD built can only pull smallerr mob because they take up cleric's healing ability. get exp slower and use up more sp stone.

I don't like DD fighter built.

Duo I will happily party with a DD fighter as they do kill faster.

In party a DD fighter is HIGH MAINTENANCE and my preference is for the slower killing more endurable tank. The tank may kill slower but that doesnt mean the party as a whole kills slower.

ENDURANCE FTW. Recently Lord a full END fighter and myself a full END paladin decided to have some fun. We joined a noob guild and warred Inner_Circle, just the two of us against them. There were around 15 members online ranging from lvl 75-89 covering all classes. They tried hard to drop us, all of them would have LOVED to see us kissing the ground :D Lord and I won the war xxx to zero because neither of our END builds died.

To the OP I totally agree with you I love the relaxation of partying with my darlin tank.

for bosses i prefer the tank build of sword and shield just because some bosses like MD well do a lot of damage and the extra hp helps. When i was in the lower lvls i noticed that the tanks with sword and shield were typically better at their jobs.

In the higher levels though most of the time i dont really care because most of the people at this point know what they are doing and during my server's raid on helga (was recruited by my 85 warrior friend at the last second) he is a DD and tanked for a bit fine. Needed extra attention but got the job done. (sadly we ultimately failed because some uninvited archer aggroed helga and everything else into our area at once)
