yeah, ask for it 2 seconds after logging out

late in the evening of the maintenance, we get an announcement that there will be the maint, and roughly how long, and for a long time now, a few minutes after the servers shut down and the patch is ready for download, they put the details up

it's such a problem waiting that 5 minutes for information that doesn't really matter until the servers are back up in 4 hours anyway huh

?

Are you talking about patch notes? They usually release them within an hour or two after the maintenance starts. So are the maintenance announcements... it's just that it gets hidden by people spamming other threads. :3

you get the ingame announcement an hour before, but it appears in the forums a while before that, thanks to our friendly mr saphar

and the patch notes usually appear right after the patch is available to download, 5-10 mins after maint starts (usually), cause the patch has nothing to do with length of maintenance

Think you have what it takes to defeat the dragon king Cornelius and claim his treasure for yourself?

Download the latest Fiesta patch to find out!

Dragon's Tomb is a new kind of Fiesta dungeon - an instance dungeon! This exciting new feature lets you and your party of fellow adventurers fight through your very own "instanced" copy of the map, meaning that the dungeon - all its traps, treasures and monsters - is yours alone to explore and conquer!

Players level 85 and higher can visit Town Chief Adrian in Uruga now to get started.

Check out the Fiesta forums for full patch notes.

Yeah, the poster is just saying that they used to be released before the servers even shut down. So I guess the post is just about wondering why the change.

Cool new dungeon!. O.o Ah well... bed for me. :P

And only 40 more levels to go.. >,<;

there's a whole new dungeon, not just tweaks
hence the 4 hour doobry instead of 3 (although, i'm sure the growing population doesn't help with timing :>

it does usually appear close to the shut down time with the full details, but the link to it just goes to the forum, rather than a specific article which we all chat to all night, but after the closing of last weeks threads cause of silly people, it's not suprising there isn't one this week.

while everyone is correct about the timing of post, when another GM worked here we would get full patch notes way ahead of time. not last second and what seems to be thrown together worse than an elementary school powerpoint.

most patches now lack major detail, and are anything but full. I think the GM's have some sorta sick twisted laugh when we go in game after a patch and find things changed that arent listed.

o.O woot something new for me to do. I hope whatever prizes make it worthwile

Anyways I have to agree in the past update notes were posted way before the maintainence actually began. Maybe they don't know what they are releasing till the last moment, or maybe they are too busy to post until the players are booted off the servers. We may never know...

isn't it time that people just got over all the departing stuff

and personally, it's a fantasy role playing game, so i believe having everything listed in perfect detail kinda distracts from the game somewhat, just like plving and other such things where you don't really play properl....

you know what, i promised myself i wouldn't be argumentative tonight and just go with the flow

Weird . . . One of the previous announcements said there would be no lvl lmt on the instance dungeon . . .

it's reasonable that to start with it's limited to just a few players so that it can be tested, before all 7 million players (yeah, i exhagerate) try it at once and complain and this and that bug on something new...

just like with the perm mounts, i'm sure they'll just release other lvls as time goes by..

Yep it used to be exciting, go to log in and you would see the announcement and click fast to see what was going to happen. These days even when we get the announcement of what is happening it is rarely a complete list.

They know what is going to be implemented in the maintenance adding that information in the original announcement shouldnt be a problem.

yeah, but you already know it's gonna take 4 hours anyway, so knowing what the changes are now doesn't really affect stuff that much...

it's not like we can use stuff til it's back online, and if it's about waiting up til 4am (my time) just to see something, then you need to sleep more :-p

if you're up and about anyway when it comes back one, then woohoo, you get to see it first :>

blagh! we have a right to say what we think and let them know

actually, you only have the rights as set forth when you said "yes, okay" to the ToS, but letting 'them' know what you think and know is only okay to a certain point, after a while, the same message time and time again, which, in the grand scheme of things is a very minor thing, will get on their nerves, like it has before, and the last thing we need is for our wonderful world of fiesta to be invite only

milk producers use milk that is discoloured by cow blood!

oh, it's not bigger than my 3 wide screen monitor setup at all, but it screws up the page layouts, and it's why the forums rules actually state there is a limit on the sizes (yet doesn't force them for some reason), i was just doing it the nice way

Humm maybe to prevent abusive discussion? Like Spooky and I were trying to say, the Main threads used to be fun like "when is main over" spammed a hundred times to "I got here 1st!" to "where do you all live?" Now its just complaints....

those rules are limited to signature size, there was never any rule against embedded images in post. and they are enforced ive had to change my sig 3 times because of said rule that was implemented after i had a screenie of helga in fbz which was running 1680 X 1050

LOL the perm mount was such a failure that they deserved the rant-fest last week. They brought that one upon themselves. I'd like to think that a release as good as this dungeon would have a good server's-down discussion, if they had left it open. I don't see anything worthy of stone-throwing this patch. But *shrug* patch notes were always closed in the past so it doesn't bother me a single bit to see them closed now.

i miss that too lol and why is the other two fighting about monitor resolutions?

oh well i hope the later dungeons get added quick

it would be nice if they delayed the cap raise so i can reach 89 b4 they do it

lol im still 48 (been like that for several weeks)

[did i mention how hard it is to find a grinding pt in abyss; ughh! i hate questing]

if you'd followed the forums for a while, you'd see that the perm mounts were introduced because SOOOO many people requested it - if nohing else, it PROVES that they listen to us when we have genuine good ideas that are plausable, or at least, doable under their licensing agreement. There was no reason for the chat to go where it went, and it wasn't just last week - it had been going downhill for a while.

I'm not surpised it was a closed thread, i would have too, and i still would for a few weeks until people calm down. The starting of this thread alone was proof enough that it wasn't going to change any time soon.

You might like to check Roseanna's chat count I think it will show she has been an active member of these forums for a long time.

Yes people did ask for permanent mounts however they did not expect to get jipped over the items needed to feed them. What does that show?, yes we are listened to but then our ideas are worked over to find a new way of getting us to spend more. This one was an epic fail though which will become more and more obvious as cash shop mounts disappear from the site.
What value is a mount you have to feed to do a 10 minute trip and then put away while it gobbles up the other 20 minutes of your dollars sleeping in your inventory.

I love how people jump on the *hug* Fiesta band wagon NOTHING is changed in this world if the people dont use their voices to make problems known.

actually making the problems known doesnt resolve anything, its the will and fortitude to realize you effed up and then admit your mistake that forces changes to occur.

just saying theres a problem does little to nothing, biggest example racism. Its a known issue, but people just refuse to accept it as one until it happens to them.

i hear ya sister! Outspark REALLY needs to get in touch with the community. But i might be mistaken...maybe its not outspark but the person in charge of the actual game. Translation is also a problem. I wish they would lend us an ear.

I'm pretty sure everyone in fiesta is working to make it better but sometimes you cant refuse the person making your paycheck.
