I know, this is an old topic, and so far all suggestions done are relativelly easy to counter. But, after buying a bluetooth USB key and looking at the software used to manage it, I'm thinking this could work:
What about Fiesta using a licence number linked to your computer's hardware ?
In other words, it retrieve hardware's name, such as hard disk drive or whatever you think is the less likely to change in a computer (this is available using Windows registry API), crypt it with a key provided by outspark to create the client's licence number, and link it with the account.
Finally, when a spammer (or boter, or someone breaking too many game rules) is caught, ban him, based on his licence.
Of course, don't allow new account creations if the licence is already banned.
I doubt spammers will change their hardware 2 to 5 times a day, this won't be woth the troubles for them.
Good side: Spammers efficiently countered.
Drawback: If, for some reasons, you need to change something in your computer that is included in the licence calculation, or if you get a new computer, you won't be able to play anymore, unless you ask Outspark for a licence reset (can be done by downloading a file, using a 1 time only download link sent by e-mail). I'm also aware that this will increase Outspark's costumer's service's load of work, but, in my opinion, having peace in game is worth it.
