So here it comes... 22 lvls CB and now about to hit Lvl 15 again, so no high lvl opinions, just my pov till right now. It may help the one or other new Cleric out there.

Let's start:

What's a Cleric?

Many people seem to have a problem with their damage output, or speed kill. Well... We are no mumbling robe wearing peace preaching hairless guys (and gals), but mace (hammer) swinging armored crusaders, yet still we are healers. And with most healing classes in games we do not kill mobs... we outlive them. That's the whole point. When we go out solo, we "convince" our enemy that we just can stay alive longer than he can. So be patient, if you can heal faster than the mob deals damage you can survive and outlast the mob. Preaching to death anyone (evil people could say bore to death)? Out buffs support us in this style... Just outlife your enemy if you are solo.
As already pointed out: We are healers
So in a group we can readyly support with damage, so others can kill faster, but keep a keen eye on the HP bars of your team mates... Help them to outlive the opponent, if times get hard. Healing the main tank is our primary task, secondary task: Rest of the team. In a party you can really start to kill mobs, since you have up to four (5 was the party limit, right?) weapons radyly at hand, but keep your weapons alive. ;) *hides from angry fighters, mages and archers* On the other hand our weapons are also our worst enemy/ stress delevery service. Who doesn't love those situations when the fighter targets mob A, while the mage thinks mob B would be a nice meal, while the archer just got aggroed by mob C back a few steps and the other fighter pulled mob D. Now things get hectic, keeping everyone alive is hard and ungrateful (guess who takes the blame for not actually healing him the right second, but the tank). Your main friends here: The F keys, with F1 being you and the others being your mates + your hotkey for healing. Ah, the adrenalin rush...
this healing action introduces you to your second main threat while partying: Heal aggro! Just met this nice fella again yesterday in KQ. Constant healing will make mobs angry at you... really angry... You outliving them is annoying enough, but you outliving them and helping others outliving is more than they can take, so they will try to put an end to it, namely your life force. In all this hectic you have to keep an eye on your HP, too (this is where I mostly fail, keeping everyone alive but me, argh!), unfortunatly it isn't conveniently listed with your party members, but still up the screen out of your party members stats sight.

The stuff a cleric is made from...

Basicly the same as everyone else, of course. But where are our foci? Think of it... Nope, wrong... We do not need to be intelligent. We aren't mages, nor book throwing monks/ students, we are crusaders! We don't outpreach, we don't outdamage, we outlive! So what gives us the main tools to outlive? Endurance, right... So End is ann important stat for us. Spr enables us to heal more, Str gives us some extra dmg. So the main builds circle around those stats, mainly End/ Spr, supporting our outlasting ability most. But here, young one, comes your chosing in. The path ahead of you can only be your own choice, if you want to be a full fledged supporter making others able to go KCnD (Kill, Crush and Destroy), or if you try to hammer in justice to your enemies and EAD (Exterminate, Annihilate, Destroy), what ever stones are put in your way (or mobs heads), or try the thin balance between them.

The weapon of choice...

How do we convince mobs that they should donate their belongings to the higher cause we follow? For the first 20 levles of our being we got a handy tool helping us: the mace. shiny metal, spikes, edges, some nice weight on the upper side (whoever held one knows what I'm talking about), all good means to strengthen your position and talk a mob into donating stuff, if you know what I mean. Later one, when you ascended in rank (namely High Cleric) you can chose to switch over to a trusty hammer. Put those nails away young one! We are talking war hammer here! Slower and heavier, thus harder to aim. This is for those of you young ones that want to hammer some truth into those who step into their way.
Can't say much about the hammer though, since I follow the credo of outliving I kept my mace & shield. Someone should calculate stats if more hits/ crits (more hits means more crit chances)/ lesser dmg or fewer hits/ crits/ more dmg prevails... The choice is yours.

Well young one... This is my small outline/ pov on your future job. Now go out there and be a shining light, guide the others (especially if everyone tends to attract 2 mobs at once) and outlast your enemies...

I hope it was helpfull to new ones, stated my opinion on being a cleric, a bit entertaining to read and not toally rubbish ;)

XD

Nice! I liked your tone there, not so commanding and saying that your way was right.
And true, more entertaining than those drab guides that you see all the time.

I guess it would be more helpful as a guide, longer.
But this is pretty nice too.
Thank you for helping us newbies out there!

Ermm we can still use sheild even with sheild.
Hammer do Nice Damage Around Lv20~30.But After that you will **** by it Miss Rate.So we need Power(the scroll increase your aim) to be more accuracy(sorry i spell wrong).
*But don't think that help much when lv40.Hammer is slower(1.5 sec i think)
Mace do Good/Averange Damage nice Hit Rate And Faster(1.3 sec)

Corrected the 2H statement about hammers. Want to keep the truth up there. ;)

If anyone finds anything to be added, or something lacking/ wrong, just pm me and I will correct it, or perhaps ad some stuff here :)
