ok so ive played with all the classes and got them all to lv 30 trying to find my favourite and archer is best so far :p(i havent tried pvp yet on the archer) but i use a 2:1 spr to str till i get the 25 spr then im going full str

but i was wondering how helpfull would adding 50 points into dex i know that archers already have high dex but wouldent max dex make you unhitable unless they have BK weapon or am i missing something

Well the 25 SPR rest STR build is a good idea. Adding the 50 DEX is also nice but if you do that make sure you get really high DEX gears to make the build worth while. If you have any other questions on archers ask me or check my guide in my signature, I love helping new archers =D

That concept on dex works until you reach 8x. Then no matter what you fight they will hit you more often then not. And in pvp the dex build is completely pointless because of the Bellow Knights.

Spr/str is fine. You'll want to use a bow till 5x then you have to decide when you get aoe mist if you like standing still or kiting to decide if you want to go bow/xbow. As a boss soloer i'm a bow user. Build is 26str 50end 25 spr. Hybrid yes. 25 spr for the extra 5% on crit. The end is a calculated stat for def and hp values that are useful in kiting. And the str is my newer add on growing my archer as pvp capable. Hybrids are said to be weak and incapable of excelling at anything. However with Archers there isn't much gain for damage as our weapons are equivilent to Clerics in power. We pull ahead with the slight bit of poison and ability to spam skill.

Your Skill Empowerments and how you use them is what really decides an archer. Mist/Piercing are probably your most important skills in the game. Power and Aimed shots are also something to focus on. I saved all of my remaining skill points for later skills like entangle that we haven't gotten yet.

STR-SPR is the most common archer build, so I guess it's a good idea :D
I added 50 END to my build and it works nice too though many archers say END is bad I like it =D
