Suggestions/Fixes
-----------------------------

Hi, Ida here, also known as Mirwavata.

I find this game quite interesting. I likeed it as it's cute and the colors are comforting. I haven't played much, but after playing few hours I figured I should make a list over things that annoyed me:

* Minimap need some changes. Afer playing for more than 2 hours, I still find it confusing. It would be a better idea to make an arrow as an icon rather than a head that doesn't give any directions at all. Better to lock the minimap where the N is North constantly and have an arrow that shows the direction you're walking.

* NPC names should be shown all the time on the screen so you find them easier. With so many people around it's hard to find the right NCP for your quest for example, unless you put on the name-tags on players.

* Brinhilde Travel Information Center at the Mall Street to the west gave me a knife after going there by mistake instead of going to the east. Yet I didn't find this knife in the inventory.

* After the quest where you pick up the medicine, it says I should wear the gloves and then come back. So I did, and it still giving me the same thing about equipping the gloves. Doesn't say you HAVE to take the medicine. And you actually have to waste those potions just for the quest. :(

* Moving need a smal fix as it looks like it lags when I hold the left-button down to move around. I find that much easier to move around rather than constantly clicking everywhere. What I see is that the character stopped up at a certain point then move to next point where the mouse were at the moment the character stopped. That means when the character went from A to B, it stops at B then it moves to C (were the mouse were at the stop at B), and after reaching C, it stops again, then move to D (which is the same happening as C). Maybe make it go more smoothly rather than having it look like lag.

* Entrance to buildings should have some glow to make it easier to see where place your character to get in a building.

* When clicking on NPCs from a distance, it says I'm too far away and just stands there. Would be great if the character moved to the character automatically till it reaches a distance that will let you able to take to the NPC.

* A few minor, a lot of typos. Think I will make an own section for that later.

* A few spots where NPC loses their capital letters. Some times it says "SoS Guardian Angel" and somtimes it say "SoS Guardian angel" while having a conversation.

* A few errors when it comes to color-changing in texts. Like after completed the teleport-quest (training), the hex-code for color 00FF00 showed up in the text.

* Typos in the chat section. "Whsiper list is empty" instead of "Whisper". Also, would be an idea to put up "how-to" guide. Like how to whisper someone, shortcuts like /p for party chat and /g for guild chat.

* Action-bar should say "F1" even after you have put a skill there.

* The training-quest where you were going to talk to a vegetable girl, seem to be hard to understand. For a training-quest, it has way too little info to make it easier for a newbie to understand what to do. Markings and better guidance, like arrows should be implemented. And yeah, it's not southeast as the NPC says, but northeast..

* Re-talking to NPC after been giving out quest should make the NPC say the almost say the same thing as it will easier for a player to catch up what the quest was saying if the player clicked it away by mistake. It's confusing to be stucked on a quest where you're not able to talk to NPC to get the info you need again, instead of having to delete your quest and get it again.

* Directions for quests should be better! It's not just "over there".

More to come after I play some more ^^

My impression is...this game is very hard. I am currently lvl 20 and still fighting things i was fighting when i was 15. It seems like you dont get enough stat distribution and not many means of getting stronger. Over the last 10 lvl, or even since the start, i dont feel any stronger..

Theres no skill points in this game 0_o the only way to make your skills stronger is to reach a certain lvl...never seen something like this before, its causing un neccessary grinding at a low lvl (already taking me about an hour and a half to get from 20-21 (lvl cap is above 135..if there is even a lvl cap)

I strongly agree with this.No offense,but this way of moving is sometimes too annoying to handle.

Alright to add to that list:

- Better Pathfinding

- More mob distribution

- A warning sign for aggro mobs or something

- Ability to move where you want using the map, making it easier to move around

- A better GUI, or at least a more optimised/customisable one like in Guild Wars

- A way to change your mind about your class, like for example, you want to test out a few classes before you start levelling for sure.
Or at least showing the job tree before you confirm what class you want to be.

There is a job tree.

<Agrees on Anthonyblank statment>
Quite surprised by the whole thing. The grinding is really hard and the quests are not rewarding at all when it comes to experience. Iam still gonna keep trying, lvl 17 now, hopefully it'll become better further ahead or after you've got to known the game better or somthing.

To add to that list:

- I'd suggest adding some indicator of a cooldown on skills such as Shield Crash as there is no real visible way to tell when you can recast that spell. Something similar to the graphic for the time remaining on buffs shouldn't be hard to implement.
(edit: just noticed the skill cooldown under the minimap after playing for a while. I think it might be more helpful if it was also added to the skillbar as that is where I looked for it first)

- Not sure if this is intended but you can repeat some quests like the fairy stones and the guard scroll.

- Also, the scroll bar is never reset to the top when going through different screens (such as when you click next tip, the scroll bar stays at it current position instead of resetting to the top, same thing happens when you look at the different job classes, etc).

I wish some things were more customizable as well. Such as shortcut keys. If something were implemented so we could select which shortcut key we would want where? I keep on hitting "1" instead of "F1" and keep on dieing because of it because my potions are there. xD The lack of customization kind of irks me, everything from not being able to change the resolution size to shortcut keys. (I have a rather large resolution and so it's hard to read the text sometimes.)

One other thing I would love would be if you could see how much EXP the monsters were giving you and how much more you needed. I don't know why not having that bothers me but it does. x3;

And yes as you just start the game the quests leave you a little like "...wha?" And don't really give you much more information after that. Idiot proofing it a little bit, I'm sure, wouldn't hurt. x3 As right now they seem a little like they were thrown in as an afterthought and not fully integrated into the game itself?

@Kaleidoscope

I totally agree with your shortcut customization suggestion... I for one would like to be able to customize the sit/stand key... kindda a hassle taking my hand away from the mouse just to press the pgdown key (*lol* i know you're like saying "use your left hand noob...!" but im right handed so sue me :p)

As for the F1-F10 shortcut keys... have ya ever played RO? or if ya have... has it been that long since ya last played? :p *kidding* The F1-F10 hotkeys is very RO-like of SoS which makes me feel nostalgic (ah the good 'ol days) But the point is I guess most of us are just experiencing a 'game culture shock' having played Fiesta for a while then suddenly testing SoS.... so I don't think they should change the hotkeys as it has proven itself efficient/effective in other games. Besides why would they pattern SoS to be like Fiesta in so many ways? wont that take the fun out of it coz then SoS would just be like Fiesta only in 2d *lol*

It's small features like the one's mentioned in this topic that set a game apart from the rest... we might be suggesting that the devs tweak this and that but we do have to consider and be careful that the things we suggest to be changed are not the things that make this game what it is... (*lol* that sentence made sense to me, dont know if it did to you guys :D)

xD; Well I have the same problem with RO. It's just my laptop is made a little taller then normal so the F* keys are a separated a bit more from the rest of the keyboard. 8D; Idunno I'm weird. x3; I just suggest that it be customizable, not make it not-ROish, because I understand the nostalgia of it all. x3 That..and I like tweaking everything I possibly can just for the hell of it. xDD;

I'm also trained to final fantasy more than anything. xd;

But that's something I'll live with either way. However right now I can see a lot of newbies coming into the game with "D: WHAT DO I DO WHATS GOING ON I DONT UNDERSTANDS" which will get very annoying. I think the quest sides of it, at least for the beginners quests, needs to be a little more idiot-proofed and player friendly. n.n

I also totally agree that the mini map should be static and not rotate with the camera, and that NPC's should be always displayed on the map. I've found myself running in circles on more than one occasion, and already there are a lot of "Where is so and so?" questions. 8D;

Armor Graphics!!! I hate relying on accessories to set me apart from the crowd, add more armor and armor types give them each there own graphics, even let us color tint them that would be cool but as far as this goes for me being heard I'm not holding my breath.

i havent gone out training yet, im at a loss of what to do.
Cos, when i first went in, i did not update my driver, and agreed to whatever the NPC told me, and thanks to chaoticdiablo, i updated my graphic driver, and is at a loss of what to do.

but i was thinking,
-maybe putting arrows at the place where u want ur character to move would be good
-the map isn't very visible, or is it just me? >.<
-the camera angle is just... weird... are we able to adjust it? apart frm zooming.
-moving around is tedious, and moving by clicking on the map would be cool

the quests are o.0
i looked and looked and never figured out what to do. T.T

im sorry for being noob >.<

So far im really enjoying it but i agree that you shoud make it easier to find the NPC's and maybe make it so that you can just hit the letter to open the menus as opposed to having to hit Alt+(letter).

You're not a noob. P: It's just the setup isn't very people-friendly for those who don't have much experience with what's going on. For the first hour or so you're more or less just standing there like "....whaaaaaa?"

I've managed through the quests kinda but, I'm preferring to just level grind right now. It's more straight forward. >_o

I also think that it would be nice to have some visual clue of who has a quest lvl appropriate for my character.

I say with the quest problem they should have something like a quest log (similar to wow) where it comes up with a list of quests you are on and it just says the exact info the NPC told you, the objectives and rewards. Its a nice feature. helps alot if you come back from a break and you wanna know what quests your on lol
