well my ign varies... i don't like naming all my characters in every game the same. Plus i have fun researching cool/unique names that have meaning behind them... It makes me 'care' (?) for my character more coz of the extra effort. Take my Cleric in Fiesta for example... his name is Astrid... which means "divine strength" which is fitting seeing as how I plan on making him a battle cleric ^.^
