wearing shield

is it worth wearing the novice shield for the extra 1 def? im using the novice shield that give like +5mp and +1def. weight is like 20 or 21 i think. wat do u think? giv up shield for a little bit more mp pots?

Mm... besides the added weight I say extra defense is useful.
+1 Defense and a little bit of MP is useful. It's kinda like your Magician Rings,
they're only like +1 INT and I say they're pretty useful.

BTW, the second Xenian shield is better than the third.
It has the same exact stats and it weighs less. o.0;
The only bad part is if you accidently unequip it, you can't re-equip it like your third shield which
doesn't even have a class occupation.

I decided to take it off when I found out it makes your character glitch. You can't see your helm (starting with the lvl 54) and other cash shop items when standing/sitting. Only when running/attacking.

Plus I didn't realize it weighted so much. x_x Only 1 def wont matter much to me.

Exactly!!! Ugh, I noticed this too!!!! And I ended up taking it off as well.

as for me, i decided to hold on to it. yeah the weight sux but 1 def could actually prove ur life and death when u beig mobbed by aggro. moreover i always solo at red mob so i think till i get to use my 5x eq with decent ap, i will use shield 1st. no harm to have extra 1 def XD ~

Manic, when you class changed to Mage, did you have to unequip your Xenian shield and then reequip it?

if i not mistaken, all changing to 2nd job class need to unequip everything >.<
