Power leveling for gold?

Well I really have no idea why I did this but I once power leveld this nub (not saying cuz he's a low level but because he really is a nub) from level 18 to 20 since he said he would give me 1-2g, but when I was finished, he commited suicide leaving me with no money and waisted time. So I go back to Eldy and find him, but what can I do? I can't kill him since he'd have to be in Abyss or FBZ, and I can't steal his 1-2g that he probably didn't have in the first place. Ugh, I was just extreamly angry after that.

So my question is, if someone ever asks me to power level them for money, how will I know they're telling the truth, becuase if I do power level him and he's telling the truth, than I'll shure get a lot of money. In what ways can I convince him to give me the money before I power level him, and how will I be able to get my money back from my last mistake?

There's no way to surely trust anyone you don't know or even people you do know so your best bet to either get payed up front ( Their mistake ) or not do it at all. If you're extremely desperate for money there are many cheap ways to make some. (Abyss , Kiting , Partying and questing so you have some teamates to watch your back ):3

While I don't encourage the practice of power leveling because it leads to high level players that have no clue what they're doing...there are things you can do to prevent this in the future.

The best idea is to ask for a portion of the money up front, and then a portion of the money for each level. For example, in your case you would ask for 1g up front, and then 500s for each level to 20. If they refuse to do it, no loss on your part.

How 'bout you just don't power level people?

Thusly, people wouldn't fail so much in KQs because they'd know what to do, and you wouldn't get scammed. Did you really think that someone lvl 18 asking to be pwrlvl'd would have 1-2g in the first place?

Celtic pretty much hit the main idea.

Actually hers is better than the one I was going to suggest =x (Ask for half up front, and get the other half when done).

With Celtic's idea/example, you would've gotten 1g 500s by the time he hit lv20 and if he left you, you'd only have been shorted 500s. My idea would've left you shorted 1g x.x

since you're selling powerlvling, it's a scam if he doesn't keep his part.
and since scamming is against the ToS I guess that's banable? does that sound logical?
so if they don't pay you, you could allways report them for scamming, if you've made like an in game contract with them ^^
