With all the hubbub about prices of, well... pretty much everything, I think it would be a good idea to implement a server-wide Trading System. I dare not mention any other game, but there is another MMORPG that has such a system that really smoothed that particular game's floundering economy, and stabilized the trading/selling/buying process. Why not have a market-type place where we could, in the game, walk up and post what we want to sell and have a range of suggested prices to choose from? The market would also be searchable, so those who are looking for that ultra-rare item wouldn't have to be teleporting from town to town, searching for someone who may or may not be selling it at a fair price.

The massively large amount of activity within this game already makes it a difficult place to regulate commerce; I realize that there IS a lot that we the players do not see nor understand.

Anyone else get what I'm saying?

I get it, but I think its a stupid idea. This isn't Runescape. Taking the freedom we have to set our own prices would be like removing the joy of merchanting and ultimately making the player-based economy far less realistic.

I like the database idea though. If we could list what we have so other players would know we had it and could contact us to negotiate. Also would simplify looking for gear.
