Obiously you know nothing about what a beta test is about. Your sposed to be testing out the game features and searching for bugs. I guess your the type that just joins beta to play it and make fun of people who can't huh?

I realize that beta testing is a vital process in the creation of MMORPGs. It's purpose being to play the game throughly, do weird things, do ordinary things, essentially do everything you can in the game to find the bugs and various glitches within the system. That comment earlier was just a question as to how you could be tested to test out a game. I'll try it out, give my input. But in the meantime, I'll just laugh.

To get tested for a beta you could go through a screening phase from the GMs/admins. Yes this would take more time but the end result would be a lot better than what we have now. We have mostly idiots running around trying to get all the "good items" and not even testing the quests. IMO this isn't they way you want to go about testing a game.

To test a game correctly, you need to do things out of the ordinary. Trying to level your character to the highest level and getting "phat lewt" for their character isn't important. Do everything and anything. Don't follow the crowd. I'll try the game out tommorrow, if I get a chance.

Actually it is.

Because they didn't do a screening process.
The handed out invitations randomly.

You get what you pay for in this case.
So stop trying to use your infantile logic.

Thats exactly what I am doing, its the reason why in still only level 17 I haven't even tried getting anything and have been looking through every screen of text for typos.

Your taking an attack on me because I state exactly what they should have done? Your actting like I wanted random pickings (which is a horrible way of pick people to test a game). I said that it isn't the best way to test a game yet you believe that it is? I don't see how because (even though the chances are low) they could have randomly picked all the people that would waste time leveling only to get wiped and the ones that wouldn't do anything but show off their account.

Well guess what?

The didn't do it.

Want to know why?

Because they have their own testers.

They really just want the game to be marginally playable by Open Beta, not completely perfect.

You can spend all the time you want looking for typos but it isn't going to get you anything. I've tested a lot of games and all they want are serious bugs, there are typos in some games that I pointed nearly 2 years ago that are still there.

All they're after is the money to start paying the bills before they start improving the game.

I know they didn't do it and im not trying to change that whats done is done. I was just stateing that it probably would have been better if they screened the people first.

Searching for typos does help the game in many ways. I've found a few quest that have the wrong monster and item names already. It isn't Outsparks fault that the other companies you beta tested for didn't fix the typos.

Im sure that they want people to be able to play the game before they make money off of it right? I mean whos going to pay for a game you can't even start? (some people have been having black screen problems and logging in problems that need to be fixed)

Maplestory.

MU online.

Actually, it isn't worth compiling a list of all the money grabbing MMOs out there.

You have to understand that MMOs are a HUGE industry and that the sheer majority of people that invest in it, only do it for the chance at the huge profits you can make from such a game.

Nobody nowadays makes a game that's fun and totally free.
You have to pay to get something out of it.

And so what?
Most of the people probably don't understand that their screen settings are wrong.

All they have to do is go into SoSsetup and change the screen frequency to something their monitor can handle.
As the default setting is 100Mhz.
