=3 That's what I do if I'm asking for a buff outside of KQs. Typically either "Sorry to bother you, but I'd appreciate a buff if you don't mind too much." or "Could I please impose upon you for a buff?" And when I'm on my cleric and someone is asking for a buff outside of a KQ, polite requests (whispered or no) get priority from me. However, I've gotten a few very nasty buff requests whispered to me when I've been afk. Colorful language makes me a sad cleric. T_T'

In a KQ, I'm less picky about how people ask for a buff since, more often than not, they're trying to type while something is trying to kill them. ^^ So shorter sentences are to be expected. But yeah, in a KQ I can see why it'd be inconvenient for someone to whisper a buff request. That means if another cleric is better able to buff at that particular moment, they might not know that the person needs a buff.

1)When a cleric is fighting a mob ... DO NOT get in their face for a free buff!

I have died several times because I could not lock on a a more difficult monster while some mooch was jumping in the middle of the mob trying to get a FREE buff

2) when you have a cleric in a KQ remember our heal has a range limit ... A - stay together as a party - you go in 2 direction and you get the cleric and other members killed BECAUSE we can NOT tell which green dot on the mini map is YOU!

B - TRY to assist the cleric - some times we are so busy KEEP the party alive we get pulled into the monsters you left behind - we can NOT fight and heal at the same time! It is GOOD to keep an assistant near the cleric to help keep them alive
C - also to have the cleric lock onto "FOLLOW" with a mage so we are pulled along and not caught in a mob.

... FINALLY: do NOT trash talk a Cleric ... IF you are on my list I'll NEVER heal you!

You get on the wrong side of enough of us and you may have a problem getting BUFF favor's!

Ye i should have pointed out how much we love it when a pt runs in all directions n expects us to heal them afterwards... I hope they can pay for our t3 t4 speeds.... Trees is the best.. respawn is rather obnoxious n lousy so youre entire pt is always all over the place hence u cant heal everyone n also end up not getting the kills cause youre too busy running to and back between people.
My solution to this was hit follow on the fighter killing the most of them n if paper mages decide to wander of the group, well they can go die all they want im done being a 'healbot' so they can level faster.

Oh oh oh I have a situation you'll like.

I'm healing my party, and get a cure pls. They stand next to me. I turn to cure them between healing the tank, but I guess I cured their un-poisoned party member by mistake. I go on healing my party and they're... still there. 0.o So I turn to cure and get the right person this time. But at the same time I cure, they go "don't ignore -_-". Do you ever wish you could take a heal/buff/cure back? I sure have. Then they have the nerve to hit me with a buff pls. My party finally killed the mob so I'm like hmm, you get rude with me and then you want a buff? See ya. And I ran off. Let's just say the result was shouting with foul language about how horrible of a cleric I am. LMAO on an alt doing kkq, it had just started and we are running to hunt down Mara. I trip over a dead player, I stop to rez and halfway through, along comes a fighter and says to me *rez xxxx* for the life of me I soooo wished I could take back that rez. The rez'd player stands, I waited clicked on her to buff and you got it NOT EVEN A THANKYOU. In my politest schoolmarmish voice I told the fighter *DONT tell me how to do my job* and ran off to find my party. The *gentleman* and I use the word VERY VERY loosely then proceeded to make an absolute idiot of himself by challenging me.

And yes IF the kkq hadnt failed because my party decided enough was enough and we would bail because we were left to do all the work I would have accepted his challenge. HOWEVER he wouldnt have faced my alt he would have faced Jade and I would have laughed myself stupid as I stood and healed and watched him waste his stones and pots.

9. if u see a cleric surrounded by mobs we only really need the one we r hitting please feel free to come take any other mobs we may have collected
10. and always remember when u have got all ur quest items to just dump ur cleric and leave as we obviously never have quests to complete ourselves
11. oh and especially in kq's remember to talk about clerics as if they r property ..ie " i'l give u one of my clerics if so and so joins our pty"
12. last but not least remember if we didnt like healing /buffing/rezzing we wouldnt b a cleric so as we must enjoy it so much we will b only to happy to help everyone who asks even if it means we never get any of our own quests done

Life tap as frequently you can and whenever you feel you need to fill sp bar full and don't feel like using a stone and or potion. It is expecially useful during mobing as cleric have unlimited healing power and can spam heal only you. This is what the skill is mean to be used.

It actually happen when I was on my mini as well. I got my friend (mage) with me, than 2 mage and fighter join the party. Well the other 2 mage just find life tap extremely useful to them and they also hit their own mob instead of focus on what the fighter is hitting so they are taking hits form the mob as well.

You may want to put it in normal chat when it did not work. To me when I am standing around town, I probably chating in guild or academy chat so I cannot see wisper at all. I miss a lot of wisper that way. One time I was already in BR when I see the wisper XD.

I use to get so stressed up because of all the above. Hate it when they said it is your job to heal/buff/cure/rev....

No one paid me to do it, I don't even get experience points for doing it! I play the game to relax and have fun, not to be stressed out.

And please don't say if you don't like to heal/buff/cure/rev, don't play a cleric. I play whatever character I like, tyvm.

I have been soloing alot since lvl 40+ or stick to a few good friends when in a party. I stop looking at the chat box when in town and gives random buffs more often then requested ones.

I am at lvl 80 now and I am beginning to relax more while playing my cleric. Just have to ignore those irritating buff spams and curses. XD

Indeed. For some reason, it's offensive to when some of my party members can't seem to trust me, and heal themselves when they still have around 80-90% hp. However, I've been told that there aren't many Clerics who heal well, at least in my server; I guess this is why there's no trust. :p

6 Helping ppl who really appreciate my heal, buff rev


Thing I DO REALLY Mind


1. When i was at MD and need to afk coz nature calling and a fighter, which i still remember till now starting accusing that i am a bad cleric and saying "i always see u under the shadow shrooming" on the shout..funny coz that the first MD i ever join.
2. The same fighter, harassing me even after kq coz he think i was suicide out when i was sacrifice both my life to run back and rev other ppl. not to mention he still harassing me after a week later..should report him that time..lol.
3. When i was afk and ppl asking for buff, and when they didn't get the buff they start swearing at my whisper window.
4. When i was pt with a certain mage and heal, rev him numerous time coz the fact he think he is invincible and going for mobs instead of the fighter. and once he died he start calling me ugly and crappy cleric. Be patient with him until one point i snap out and he ban me from the pt.
2. Always been blamed if the kq fail in fact that other class also didn't do the job well. (It stop when i join kkp though)


Conclusion

Other than the cases that i mention, helping ppl with heal, rev and buff is really nice. But being a cleric mean u have to be patient. My rule is easy, being jerk with me? so i will to you^^. So only pt with friends is my motto for now..ciou ppls..:D

I agree, I'm a cleric and my brother is a fighter/warrior (whatever)

Anyways I reread the post and it does sound like he trying to imply that he is quote on quote "superior" in a way. (like all the quotes? :)). All the classes play an important role in Fiesta. Mages and Archers deal damage, Fighters tank, and clerics heal, thats life like it or not. Fighters could have the same argument when people are saying "tank tank tank tank!" people don't even say "thankyou" to the fighters.

Hurm..i play all 4 different classes and as for me, cleric have it hardest. No one bother fighter when he/she afk in towns. Most ppl who play fighter is arrogance type, i play fiesta for about a year now only meet 3 really good fighter so far. Plus i've been in kq where fighter refuse to tank and i as a cleric have to..they only look aside while seeing cleric dying to tank for everyone. I'm maybe biased, but i really hate fighters in this game except a few of them.

Plus, it not cleric's fault about being superior, the clerics in this game are superior.:D. And the thread didn't asked u to kneel in front of anyone, maybe a rant coz cleric being mistreat and people forgot to value the help and favors clerics give.

P/s : clerics in this game is not like other mmo. Ppl who choose to be a cleric in this game didn't choose to be support and did not devoting their time to be support like others that i played.

Cleric = mage + heal ( low def, aoe lighting/holy light etc attack with lower dmg than mage)

Clerics have to put up with a lot, but I love being able to heal myselfSome players spam stones out of habit of soloing, I doubt it's a reflection of your healing skills. :3 I solo mostly on my mage and archer and pot/stone when the hp/sp bars get 50-80% because you never know when a monster/boss will get in a big hit or extra unexpected joins the mob.

Clerics can be inconsiderate to other players, purposely, then wonder why they're treated with disrespect. It really annoys me when a lvl 47+ cleric goes afk by Shustian in Eld, knowing other players are going to ask for buffs. This happens quite a lot lately, or I've just noticed it more since I have a lower level archer who really needs buffs. When I see afk clerics (or when there isn't cleric around at all), I log my alt onto my main just to throw spam buffs on everyone then leave the area when I'm done.

Today in a life as cleric, I buffed from Burning Rock to Roumen, Slime land using up 200+ sp stones for the giggles of it. You'd be surprised how many players are grateful with 'surprise' buffs and heals.

1.) I buff people in town, making sure no one is without a buff bc some reason I feel like its like some contest where I have to get everyone buffed xD
2.) I hate it when ppl use pots and stones in party bc I can just heal them and I feel like they don't trust me.

My first priority is to keep the party alive and safe even if it means risking my own life which I hardly die anyways and will just gain the exp back later with other parties (+ I have all those hp stones I can use for whenever I get hit). Though it really is hard whenever I do die first from mob control xP but everyone has accidents :o

1.) I buff people in town, making sure no one is without a buff bc some reason I feel like its like some contest where I have to get everyone buffed xD
2.) I hate it when ppl use pots and stones in party bc I can just heal them and I feel like they don't trust me.
3.) I love the challenge of taking care of everyone. (healing and reving included)
4.) I hate it when another cleric is in the same party bc I wanna be the life supporter xD
5.) I want mages to use life tap so I can just heal them and they won't run out of stones as easily.
6.) I hate tanking and killing, I just love to watch the party's health and chat.

My first priority is to keep the party alive and safe even if it means risking my own life which I hardly die anyways and will just gain the exp back later with other parties (+ I have all those hp stones I can use for whenever I get hit). Though it really is hard whenever I do die first from mob control xP but everyone has accidents :o

10. Don't say please and spam us when asking for buff, we love it.
9.Ask us for buffs in town while were healing during a guild war.
8.Ask us for rez second u died cause we dont know you're dead.
7.Ask us for rebuff second youre rezzed, cause were not healing anyone and/or theres no green timer saying cannot cast when target has logged in just now.
6.Don't give us time to self heal/rebuff pt when were rezed so we dont die again n give us grief cause were not healing.

9.fight mobs.
8.Dont use pt buffs. EVER.
7.Wait a good 30 mins after rezzing someone before u buff them.

5.Actually, dont ever buy anything but bash, everything else is just trivial.
4.Fight more mobs.
3.Wait until someone is dead to tell them they are glitched n cannot be healed.
2.Get another cleric in pt so u can take turns alt tabbing to msn. This is especially effective during boss fights n large mob pulls.

It's funny how you think the other party members are the slaves, when Clerics are usually the ones called slaves. That's got to be the first!

i have a lvl 50 cleric on teva server u all might know me u might not her name is Destiny_Hope of the Tevan_EclecticII guild. what i hate is when ppl can see we r fighting and they come up and spam u for a buff. like we are going to stop fighting a mob and get killed just to buff them. yeh right whatever, i dont think so. if we dont then we are told we are not doing our jobs, a bunch of crock f u ask me. since when did it become a clerics job just to go around and give buffs and not do their quests and lvl themselves?? anyways thats my opinion on the whole buff thing. oh yeh dont demand a buff from me if u ever come across me cause if you do, you wont get one. i dont do demands. i am defiant lol

Things that i don't mind.


1. Using not full appropriate word of please, instead plz buff
2. Wasting up 100+ of my sp stones so i can buff ppls in elderin or roumen.
3. Helping out friends with rare drop quest especially mages coz i know they are papery
4. Being a healbot in party
5 Spammed with buff request
6 Helping ppl who really appreciate my heal, buff rev


Thing I DO REALLY Mind


1. When i was at MD and need to afk coz nature calling and a fighter, which i still remember till now starting accusing that i am a bad cleric and saying "i always see u under the shadow shrooming" on the shout..funny coz that the first MD i ever join.
2. The same fighter, harassing me even after kq coz he think i was suicide out when i was sacrifice both my life to run back and rev other ppl. not to mention he still harassing me after a week later..should report him that time..lol.
3. When i was afk and ppl asking for buff, and when they didn't get the buff they start swearing at my whisper window.
4. When i was pt with a certain mage and heal, rev him numerous time coz the fact he think he is invincible and going for mobs instead of the fighter. and once he died he start calling me ugly and crappy cleric. Be patient with him until one point i snap out and he ban me from the pt.
2. Always been blamed if the kq fail in fact that other class also didn't do the job well. (It stop when i join kkp though)


Conclusion

Other than the cases that i mention, helping ppl with heal, rev and buff is really nice. But being a cleric mean u have to be patient. My rule is easy, being jerk with me? so i will to you^^. So only pt with friends is my motto for now..ciou ppls..:D

I was once whispered by a noob asking me 10s, and the funny thing is :

mr A : OMG i can't believe there is still a noob in lvl 7x ( i was 8x) who refuse to give 10s

Me: * chuckle but still ......

It continue after 10 mins later till i have to block him out to talk to my friend..lol
Morale of the story, don't deal with kids with harsh way, either ignore or give them what they want..lol.

My solution to this was=I tanked every kq i was in. Clerics have it simple its not that hard to keep aggro and if youre full end n fully+9 theres no limit to how much hp u can recover unline other classes hence youre self sufficient (course it depends on build n sc spendage-all i had was extenders)

You knew what you were getting yourself into when you chose to be a cleric. Yes I understand that people can be rude at times, however I believe it's just people in general rather than non-cleric players.

I'm sorry to say but your post sounds quite arrogant, like you believe you are a superior player just because you are a cleric and that everyone should kneel before you just because you heal, rez and buff.

I don't see on what planet its considered arrogant to demand people show a little more respect to the clerics they spam day n night 24/7 for buff.
I think if a cleric does not wish to heal/buff people he should stfu and go delete his/her char. But there is no reason i shouldnt be able to vend shop and have people spamming me til i cant shop for buff. I've had people sit beside my character in roumen for over 30 minutes saying buff pls (while im in guild chat and not budging) I have a lvl 7x+ of every class and yes, clerics get the most disrespect.
I've heard so many stories of clerics getting cussed out cause they 'failed to heal' I know a few people who refuse to scroll and run around pulling as many mobs as i can... only reply i have to that behavior is tg i have awaken n can steal their aggro as quickly as possible.
