I am no GM, but to answer your question: The marriage function as of yet has no function and you can not use it. No one is quite sure about the perks or anything about it that is more then merely specualtions. It hasn't been introduced yet and ETA is unkown to the best of my limited knowledge. In America is it illegal, but actually legal in some states. And it's a GAME, so why not. Honestly when the marriage feature comes out I HOPE it allows it because my boyfriend plays a female characters and so do I (I'm a female). So if we can't get married in the game if we wanted to thats kinda messed up. I know alot of guys that play female characters because they look better then some of the male characters and the females also have their perks.

Before anyone gets confused, this is not directed at any player in particular, simply making a few general points.

The game is an english version. That means that it's not just intended for America. True, it's major player base will be from America but any english speaking country will have players as well. Even those where it's not the first language. To those who are bashing on about it being an Illegal thing to get married, not every country does things like your state. Some states in your country allow same sex marriages, and many, many other countries are moving with the times and making it legal.

So what if they bring it into the game, I'm sure it's not going to affect your gameplay at all. Live and let live, let people do as they wish if it doesn't harm anyone else is what I say.

I understand about some parents not liking it, but to constantly trying to please everyone you'll never get progress. No one will ever agree totally, and it's a good place for the company to show where they stand on such issues.

I think the issue here is one of those grey areas though. It's generally agreed, that things like drugs for example aren't legal. Not all forms of it. Only certain types are legal in certain places, on the whole, they're outlawed because they're dangerous. This isn't something that can be harmful, it's just something that would ruffle feathers of the people who didn't like it.

I understand your point though, and agree that all we can do is voice an opinion. Whatever the company decides, is what they decide and they will do whats in their best interest regardless. It wont stop me playing, but I would like to think the company would want to show an open minded front. Who knows :)
