[This idea is me being bored and wanting to throw an idea into the open. Of course, this can be edited and I'm welcome to opinions.]

Have you ever been in the middle of hanging out with your friend/spouse/date maybe in the middle of Roumen, or even Eldy, and out of the blue you are thrown into a guild war. Maybe you ask your partner to head out to a secluded place to hide, but while you are a trotting along you are nailed with a one hit KO... and spawn once again to find that there is another of the opposing guild spawn killing mercilessly!

This has happened to me more than once and it annoys me to no end. So I came up with the idea that maybe there could be an option to participate in a guild war. Of course there poses the problem of someone taking themselves out of participation right as they are about to be killed. There could be a small time period before the actual war where all the online members are alerted and they are allowed to go to a set of options that allows them to not participate in the war.

It could be made so that if a member of the guild logs on they have a few minutes to change their options also so they aren't forced into the war, and there could be another option that allows a member to permanently take themselves out of participation so they don't have to worry about constantly changing their settings.

This would be very useful for me since I want to be able to go to Eldy to restone without being ganged up on during a guild war, you know?

[I don't know if this idea has been posted or if I have ignored something close to it because I haven't really surfed the posts much. Please alert me if I look like a dork!]

The way I deal with it is the moment I spawn I get my hobby out and ride into the wind, it works.

mmmmhh I wonder if you realised when you joined the guild it was a war guild?

Yeah I thought you did.

WAR GUILDS are for wars, if you dont want to fight for your guild then stop wasting good space in the guild and go make a NON WAR GUILD.

Outspark has enough to do without changing the game format to suit silly people who cant differentiate between WAR and NON WAR.

I do fight and enjoy fighting for my guild whenever I have the time or ability to do so.This is meant to be an option so that if you are in a position that you cannot fight you do not have to.

I'm sorry if im being to forward at this point but what you just posted was ignorance in my view.

Some days people may not feel like war and as OP stated they were warred out of the blue. If you were with your bf/gf in game and you didnt feel like warring because you wanted to hang out with that person wouldnt you feel the same way the OP did? Especially if it was done at multiple times.

I think OS should make some type of area specifically for war.

they give a 5 min wait period after a declaration is made. make use of that. in those 5 min u have plenty of time to decide if u want to fight or not, and if u dont, just stay out of crowded maps like elderine. its not terribly hard to avoid people, and if u need a restone, just go to fom (no battle zone) or sand hill. if u see those giant red letters flash across ur screen, and u still choose to hang out with whoever in the middle of eldy/roumen, theres really no one else u can blame except urself if u get jumped.

You can hide in like a volcano house. People can't really attack you there... (unless the tab button works ><;)

Anyway there are two types of wars. A full-out barbaric war or a more civilized war. The barbaric one is where you spawn kill with no mercy and shroom kill. I prefer the civilized war just because it's fair for everyone. If you don't want to participate, then shroom. However I've been in wars where people kill you even when you shroom just because you're afk.

I enjoy the wars, but sometimes you're just not into it at the moment. Suck it up, you say? Well, what if you're in a party and your guild happens to war a party mate's guild? You can't heal them because you're warring, but you can ask to be banned from guild to leave war.

I'm just saying that you won't always be in the mood for a war, but being in a warring guild at least gives you that option to be able to participate in a war.

its called pvp. but most fools today are too eager to hit the war button, inconviencing all for the sake of mayb 1 person from either guild perhaps. *sigh*

Shroom killing is against ToS I would advise against trying that lol

As already stated you get a 5 minute warning period BEFORE the war starts use it to your own advantage if you dont have the gumption to defend your guild.

And No, pride in my guild means every time war is declared I am in full battle mode within the 5 minute warring time and ready for action when the war starts.

As for my comment being ignorant I find that amusing, since when has stating facts been considered ignorant? We all click the *JOIN* button to join a guild, if the guild is constantly at war then it is our choice to click the *LEAVE* button and go find a guild that suits our playing style.

IF a player chooses to join a warring guild then UH OH guess what? YOU WILL BE WARRED. Dont want to play in the wars, then join a NON warring guild.

Your argument has one fatal flaw........... NON-warring guilds can stil be warred just as much as warring guilds................................-_-

just because you dont declare war on someone doesnt mean that someone wont declare war on you

Err when u make a guild, there is option either u want to make ur guild the "war" type, or "Non-warring" type lmao. Non-warring guilds will be listed as "Exhibition" in guild list. Try to war those guild if u can and send me screenies to prove it x3.

Nah :D eg: my first guild I created is Xanadu a NON warring guild. I stayed in that guild till lvl 79 because I am a grindaholic and didnt want to be in a war guild where my grinding time would be interupted.

Which i why i stated OS should make a area for guild wars only like the guild tournament area in the Korean Fiesta.

The battle in Guild Tournament
When it is time to start the tournament, all guild members in both guilds will have a summon request window popup asking whether to join the tournament or not.
For those who logged in a bit late or cancelled summon by mistake can re-open the message window by Re-logging or porting to different map. One thing to be cautious about is it will allow you to be summoned only for 4 minutes during waiting time.
During Waiting time you cannot attack and only check the map. You will be given 5 minutes.
When the combat begins you will be ported to the early regenerating spot. At this time it will only be for the guild members who joined the tournament.

I just temporarily drop my guild tag, avoid towns or log a different character if I don't have the war mood. However, that doesn't happen all that much since my guild, CK arranges "friendly" wars so it's both convenient and considerate to all guild members. Occasionaly, CK is warred upon then if I'm grinding or questing, I just stay out of towns if I don't want to particpate.
