If you try to weak attack anything, as any class, its very likely you will get hit, simply because weak attacks have a shorter range. Personally, unless I'm fighting alot of mobs at once, I prefer to try to keep them constantly stunned using strong attacks, but as a rouge I had issues still getting hit, as it seems rouges have a slightly shorter strong attack range too.

Yeah it is pretty annoying. Even to this day i keep trying to find ways to attack stuff without getting hit. There's a specific timing and distance you have to know inside-out if you wanna attack stuff without get hit. But there's a lot of other things that make it a lot more complicated...for example i noticed that after a certain number of hits, i still get hit even when im at a safe distance from the monster. I dont know why, maybe because the monster keeps trying to run near you but you keep delaying it with attacks, so maybe after several attacks it manages to get closer to you faster then before.

lol i dunno...im still new at this game and have a lot to learn about it. I solo most of the time so i try to make up the most effective tactics to killing monsters. The getting hit most of the time part is annoying but im getting used to the timing by now.

Well if other Rogues still cant stand this being hit thing...they can always change to Trapper right? :o

Or they could scrap their rogue and go monk XD No I kid of course, I would never tell anyone to scrap a character because they get hit, I would tell them how to figure out how not to. Me not being a rogue of course I don't know specifics about your skills, but don't you have like shurikens to throw or something? Also a tactic you could try, though it would take some work to perfect, is hit and run. Time your dash so you get into range for a heavy or light attack or skill, get in, hit, and get out before they can react with an attack. It may seem like alot of work but if it saves you money on healing items and you are that worried about the money, then by all means do it. Another thing you could try is for your initial hit use a long range skill to stun them, and then you gotta make sure you get the rythm of when teh stun wears off, and then stong attack for perma-stunning. For most mobs perma-stunning works rather well, the only downside is that sometimes the stun wears off sooner, sometimes later, than usual, and that can be problematic (or could be lag on my part XD) In anycase, all you have to do is figure out what works for you, and if that means switching classes then by all means do so, there is no rule against it.

Yes Atmor i agree with you. We have a medium range Shuriken skill at lvl 18 and i use it quite often to hit mobs that just attack the ground instead of run to me. If you try to hit them when they're doing that, there's a high chance you'll get hit so i just throw a Shuriken to provoke them. XD

As for the perma-stun thing, are you talking about hitting them with a heavy attack right when they're about to get out of the last attack's stun? Yes that does work really well and if you get the timing down, you wont get hit at all. But the downside is that it will take you much longer to kill stuff so you'll level much slower. Spamming 2 light attacks then 1 heavy attack is how i like to do things. It really speeds things up.

I've been playing Melee classes as my main characters all my life. Im used to the getting hit thing and figuring out efficient ways of grinding. In most of the other games i've played, not getting hit was almost impossible unless you're an Assassin with godly Dodge stat. But in this game its very possible to kill stuff without getting hit since the mobs get stunned after every attack and you can run faster then them.

It's all about the timing i guess. And you can only master that with lots and lots of practise ^^;

All you need is skill to master your timing.

Yep, at first i've this issue and i was like gonna quit rogue at that time xD lol, but no, i try to find the solution :)

Well at first maybe its quite hard for you to train coz get hitted almost everytime but from time to time youll figure out how to use rogue :)

All you need is skill to master your timing.

I've to agree with BloodLimit. Timing is very important and you should keep the distance, not to far and not to near, since rogue uses short dagger and always using weak attack, so its a short melee range compare than warriors they have swords.

Well at least for monks the strong attack does twice teh damage, and stuns the oppenent for more than a couple seconds, and has a longer range, so the only real downside is it immobilizes you for a second too, so just strong attacking seems to me the logical way to kill, with a skill thrown in if it eliminates an attack.

Heh.. looks like your not the only 1 with that problem. My resolution is to use a wooden sword while fighting mobs, but maybe it doesn't work for you. I'm only lvl 12 anywA...

My usual plan is to strong attack while dashing towards them, dash away, throw a skill in once in a while and it works for not getting hit, just time when you attack though :P.
