Question about Invitations

I did look through the forum and saw -hundreds- of invite me threads. One of the GM threads said that the invitations will be randomly picked out of a hat. And that they would be periodically given out. My question relates to that I guess...

Is there a way to increase your chances of getting an invitation? Do people with a higher post count have a higher chance of getting picked? Or do the GM's handing out invites go through threads and look for ones that seem like a suitable person?

I guess im just anxious about it because I only just signed on today and I want to be sure ill have as much chance as the next guy to get an invitation into CB despite being a latecomer. I stumbled across the site and read a little into the guide and my heart kinda picked up a few beats XD. The game looks awesome... Hopefully Ill join you guys already testing it soon but if not Ill see you on the forums and in OB!

because everyone want to be invited they screw up after if someone is selected able to get in SOS test, so what happened if there are a tread they will spam a post in every tread just to make sure if they get in the invitation which GM_break random pick a tread, who ever is in that tread before GM_break post will all get invite to the beta test.

well i was lucky that i was invite at the right time and in the right place 2day ago.

now having problem with the outspark launcher with our ISP problem.

Is there a way to increase your chances of getting an invitation?

I mean... I tried fiesta an hour or two ago. I logged on and was just flooded with gold for sale nonstop and not 2 seconds into the game im looking for chat filters. I couldnt even ask anyone about chat filters because it was bumped out of the chat box a second after I hit enter. I found the menu with the chat filters... and none were effective. Fiesta was dead before I even started the newbie quests.

Spamming is just ugly and detrimental. Is that seriously the best way to get an invite?

yes i got the invitation but...

well i am stuck in the outspark launcher problem which alot of Singaporean people with ISP problem, that it seen the launcher is blocking all our ISP singnet user.

I've seen the games where beta is based on player activeness within forums so you would see a bunch of people with one would comments on every thread it always cracked me up ^_^

yup there is number of outspark user at this point have character creation problem, each time they create a chacter it will force the computer to end task it on the SOS game client something like that hopeful you guys didn't got anything bad happen Such as 2 major problem.

outspark new game laucher with ISP problem.
create a chacter crash problem.

well i wanted to try to be a fighter(doesn't mean i a gangster or somethin) look very strong.

thief might is the look cool with their clothing.

Well I hope your ISP problems resolve soon ^.^, as for the character creation bug theres no rush to get an invitation, but I have nothing better to do so I figure we can just strike up a conversation about the game for everyone who is waiting to join up in :-P

I was watching the video they have up, im not sure but I think the fighter class was the one that used the attack up and defense up buffs. Im not really sure how the skills for the different classes look but I always love passive skills or buffs a bit more then active skills.

But I dont know about that in this one. The video makes the AoEs seem godly. Extremely godly.

Another thing. Is the green light that the monsters continuosly spawn out of an event type thing? Or is it like the Dead Branches of Ragnarok Online? It would be sweet if it was event stuff that was one of my favorite parts of RO.

yeah... i watched the SOS trailer look very anwsome with the AoEs damage with a range of the size of your screen maybe bigger i don't know for sure for high class mage or archer other maybe i still don't know much of the detail in the SOS game.

The graphics totally look better then RO though. From the screenshots ive seen the colors are alot more vibrant and the skill effects more dramatic. Even the 3d feel of it looks cooler. Of course I cant say that for sure since im not playing it and the video has a very small resolution.

Well yeah you can defend the different ways of saying newbie but it all boils down to the fact that the terms are most definately intermixed, and most definately overused. Everytime I hear someone say "lol you noob" when someone asks a question that seems second nature to people who have played for a while, my blood boils. The signature is really only meant to help people think about things such as that and it probably fails XD.

On a different note its only 6 days into CB and there are already people at lvl 29! Heh! And here I was gonna say something like at least right now in Solstace everyones a newbie.

So not true anymore lol.

Yeah its not possible to download the client right now. But I remember a thread I read earlier where a guy was moaning about being able to download the client but not having an invitation, essentially meaning he just wasted space on his harddrive.

Maybe the restriction on downloading came sometime after.

yes true you can download the client even if you are not invitation but that is just a luck.

I haven't gotten an invite to SOS but I was invited to Fiesta a few months ago so my account has been active for awhile. The way Fiesta seemed to be run was like within 72 hours of creation you would normally get an invite because they got to the point where most people were invited. I am unsure about how they are doing it now but I would suppose that some of their older members would have some slightly higher probability and the new members that joined for SOS would probably get a large amount in there too but inactive people that have had accs for awhile would be on a lower scale. Also, why does it say I last visited on January 1st 1970? I wasn't even alive until 21 years later =p...
