I've rarely met such a rude set of people as the general population of Teva. So far, in my 22 levels since I started last Friday, I've had people shout at me to buff them. I've had orders barked at me to heal. I've been verbally kicked in the groin because some mage or archer died and glitched, so I couldn't revive them.

Here's some suggested guidelines when partying with a cleric, so you don't fall off the demand curve for healing:
1> Don't be rude. Nobody likes having orders shouted at them from a total stranger.
2> It's not my "Job" to heal you. It's my "Job" to heal the tank, and if you're not "tanking" then stop taking damage.
3> It's impossible to revive multiple people at once, so don't all scream it at the same time and then blame me when you're glitched.
4> If a cleric has the best stats out of anyone else involved for tanking, let them tank and don't demand healing. You've got stones for that.
5> It's not the cleric's fault when you make poor decisions and get yourself killed. Don't blame me because you're a moron when it comes to grouping.

I hope the type of players improves as I gain levels, because seriously it's lacking down here in the 20s. I've met a few really nice 40 somethings, but man.. I think this is the last time I'm going to try Kingdom Quests without a set group of people to run with.. when you're a jerk to healers they always get the last laugh. (On the last KQ I ran, I was tired of an archer yelling at me to heal him so I literally sat down and watched him die.)

Ok, that's refreshing to hear. *whew*
I thought I was going to have to go back to Warcraft, and I don't really want to do that.

Lv2x is kinda full meanies >.> I hated doing slime KQ on my cleric, lol... people from other party demanding heal gets annoying after awhile xD

I kinda have to disagree with #4 though. If you can keep the aggro, fine, but from personal experience, I have easily pulled aggro off cleric 10+ my level... wasn't even trying... so I hope you'll still heal your party members even when you're tanking ^^".

And #2, I think the cleric's part is to heal people in the party. The main concern is the tank... keep the tank alive!! Or the whole party dies, lol... but sometimes one mob or two like to ignore the mock and to massacre the squishies so heal them when you can. Dealing damage always involves the possibility of taking damage; it's not entirely their fault you know. x.x But it's their duty to watch their own hp. If they pulled too many mob and dies, it's their own fault… even though I do that a lot :/

#1 is something everyone should keep in mind xD
It gets much better as you level, though you’ll probably meet one or two jerks once in awhile. And a piece of advice… don’t even try the lv20 and maybe 30 abyss unless you’ve just leveled. Once I was watching a friend play on his mage, and there were about 20 PK’ers standing by the portal. >.<

Rofl, that poor archer. But he deserved it. Really, politeness once in awhile won’t kill him >.>

1)I agree with that, but sometimes the others might have more experience than you, so as long as they are not rude in whatever order they give you, you should go along with it.
2)As a cleric it is your JOB to heal the tank, as well as other members in the party if they start to get damaged, otherwise you are pretty useless in a party and you would be better off duoing.
3)i got nothing to say about that one, if they cry cuase they are glitch is their problem, you shouldnt worry about it, they can always walk back to the same place.
4) You make a good point, but you will have to be ready for higher lvls for the mages, and maybe archers can take the aggro from you pretty easy, and it will be a mess when u are trying to heal yourself and the guy that just stole your aggro.

And if people dont party your in KQ just leech it ;)

Admittedly I don't know how the aggro in Fiesta really works. I haven't seen the math involved, but I do know that an archer or mage (or whoever, really) attacking Marlone without the rest of the group ready is bound to get a few people killed (and got me really yelled at).

I'm not gonna do any more KQs for a while. I have a lot of fun farming for materials or duoing with my fighter friend.

I do try to keep the various damagers in parties healed, but my main priority is always the tank. Once the tank bites it, it's pretty much over. (some damage people don't really get that -_-)

I can't wait to get into the 40s!

Most of the bad players get "weeded out" as you level. Simply because they get bored or have the attention span of a sock o.o;

But don't worry, in higher levels, most of the time, everyone knows what's going on and stuff

well you pretty much stated why i dont do kq very often. and i rarely prty with ppl i dont know. cuz a cleric can only heal so fast and if you have 4 ppl all gettin damage and needin healin some one is goin to die.cuz are heal skills take time to reuse. and alot of ppl dont protect the cleric either so if the clerics dead your all dead. who gets the blame? the cleric does . cuz its easier to blame them than take responsibility for them selves. so just remember that clerics are for support for the other classssses and we do our best to keep you alive .

Yeah people do get nicer as you get higher. As a lot of people have said the morons tend to drop out of playing as they get bored pretty quick and their incessant whining becomes obsolete when everyone else gets more experienced. The tables turn on people like this by the time you get to Robo and they realise they can't keep pace with the people who actually know what they're doing. They become the people getting whined at for not knowing what they are doing and jeopardising the KQ success.

That's not to say that the higher levels are completely idiot free, there are still a few who think it's up to them to bark out every order in KQ and that the success depends on them staying alive. You get tanks who die and then declare the KQ a failure because they and only are capable of tanking the boss and they have lost their T3 shield and now every Cleric in the room is a noob.... yeah right:mad: Ive lost count of the times this has happened fighting MD then a mage goes and happily tanks it without even so much as a T1 and someone calmly explains to the "mouth" that his T3 shield is worth jack against MD's magic based attacks ^^.... who's the noob now?:p

It has to be said you've made a pretty brave choice being a Cleric on Teva. We do have to put up with a lot of unnecessary abuse. There's even talk of full cleric parties and a serverwide Cleric strike  It's generally agreed that ignoring these morons is the best course of action. Just block them so you don't get yourself worked up and continue on as normal. But yeah, there isn't that many at higher levels. At least no enough to make Teva a bad server... the nicer people overwhelm the not so nice so you won't really notice them later on.

Anyhoo welcome to Teva :)

ahahahahhahahahh dont worry it doesnt get any better it just gets worst as you reach lvl 47 when you can dish our hp and sp buffs but hey dont worry continue being who you are lol i just ignore the or tell them no and if they get to whiney i just block them im sorry but for me being chased around and followed having ppl go BUFF PLOX or w/e and hell if they asked me nicely and in a full sentence then i may just help them but other then that srew em have fun in fiesta and dont let ppl like that ruin it for you

And please don't do what I've noticed a lot of other Cleric's doing lately. They completely ignore another Cleric asking politely for a buff but then buff the rude little sods demanding a 'Buff Now'...No Please or Thank you.

From the sound of it though you aren't going to be one of those. Just go with the flow and ignore those people who are rude to you.

Lol..I still feel guilty when I refuse to party. Can't stand being the one to stand in the background whilst someone is being nasty to me.

Have fun with Fiesta.

omg i hate people like that thats why i like being an archer cause if u dont heal, any agro u do create ill use natures protection to send it to them and kill them easy :D
