lost skill points

I'm a lvl 22 mage and I've only just decided to put points into skills. I have a total of 10. I've hoarded them because I didn't know the bonus carried through to higher lvl spells of the same name. My problem is: why don't I have somewhere nearer 22 skill points instead of a measly 10. Is it because the programmers didn't bother to go higher than 10 thinking noobs would quickly spend them... if so I may as well go and cry in my hobbit hole because that would mean I'm missing 12 skill points:mad:

Oops. I made the same assumption you did. I saved all my skill points for Invincibility, revive and the higher level heals because I thought that if you levelled the lower spells you'd have to level the higher ones too. I'm currently at level 21 and only have 10 points as well. I guess I have to start over. :/

I dont know if that is a bug since i have seen, that one seems not to get a skillpoint each time he levels up.
But maybe again This is a bug ;0)

Then I can only see 2 viable conclusions: a) it is a bug and b) skill points aren't gained 1 per level. I haven't been paying attention each lvl at how many skill points I get so I can't verify this. But I have heard that you do get 1 skill point per lvl on the /shout channel. So I'd go with it being a bug. Something they should've sorted out in the 2 closed beta's they've had.

UPDATE: Hold on to your character deletion people! It's not a bug, skill points are gained every other level so it's normal for a lvl22 to have 10skill points:cool:

You actually gain one skill point every other level starting at level 3. So no, you didn't mess up, nor is it a bug.

I think it's every 2nd level earlier on, then maybe every level when you start getting into the longer to level up levels

Oh, whew. That is such a relief. Thanks for the information. Now I can continue hoarding my skill points.
