Although people are being randomly selected via their Outspark account and being sent an email that says they've been accepted... You can also get an invite by being lucky in the forums, or being a helpful poster.

Being a helpful poster does not include the following:
1)Making a bunch of topics trying to get an account
2)Asking questions before you've looked into it(Use Search!)
3)Being polite
