Well, this is my first time playing Wind Slayer, ever, and I've decided to write my review on Wind Slayer after ten days of playing.

Overview:

Overall, Wind Slayer is a great, fun and compelling game. The whole game is mainly based on its PvP aspect, which is a great feature, as it forces players to engage in combat with other players to test skill and wit. Other than that, the normal gameplay itself is pretty average: experience rates become insanely low, generic quests, lots of grinding.

But, another positive aspect of the game which I like is that it has SIX basic classes, each branching into two more for a total of TWELVE advanced classes.

Customization: 7 out of 10

As stated before, this game has a great variety of classes to choose from, but the characters all look pretty much the same.
There are a variety of clothing to choose from to enhance your appearance, but this game has the potential to include much more.
For you skills, all same classes will have the same skill, you can't specialize in a specific skill branch, at end game, if you are a Bishop for example, all other Bishops will have the same skills as you... Not much customization there.

The main area you'd want to look at for customization is the Stat Point Allocation. You can choose what area you can put your stats in and how.

Quests: 7 out of 10

Yea... I was kinda disappointed. The quests are extremely generic: kill x number of mobs, collect x number of items, and delivery quests, etc.
The rewards are not really satisfactory or rewarding until you hit the 20's. Only thing about quests is that it helps grinding go by as you focus on the quests.

PvP: 8.5 out of 10

Honestly, I'm a huge PvP fanatic, and I've always love PvP games, but the one thing that ruins a lot of the games is the imbalance of classes and characters.
But in Wind Slayer, the classes are as balanced as it could get. The system allows so that I could access PvP anywhere and anytime I want and instantly get into a battle. Eh, don't remember what I was going to add to this, so I'll leave it here.

Gameplay: 8 out of 10

Killing monsters is fun, until you have to do it over and over and over x 1000 just to level up.

Honestly, I think they should have raid missions in this game. The bosses currently that I have faced may look intimidating, but they sooooo easy. Just hope they could add some non-PvP aspect in this game that would it make it fun, in case you needed a break from Slaying other players.

Also, I find it bothersome that the game is not entirely synchronized between players. I have heard that the reason was to reduce lag, [and it works, cause I have not lagged ingame at all] but it's quite annoying.

Community: 9 out of 10

I love the OutSpark community. It's great! The people are so helpful and really nice. But I couldn't give it a 10 out of 10, well, I don't think any can get a 10 out of 10 for community, 9 is as high as it would go. You'll ALWAYS run across the occasional jackass in every single game.

Anyways, good job, keep it up :D

I give Wind Slayer Overall, as a game an 8.5 out of 10.

I agree we need some sort of dungeon raid, or a pvp area where people can join in and whack players and monsters at the same time. without losing exp,

Uh, I hate to do this but...

What the hell? You have something up your ***, huh? What did I do to you? Is it necessary to give me that attitude?

Is there a rule somewhere here I missed that states I can't give my opinion on the game? Do I need a license to give my opinion on games, now?

And who are you, coming in here, thinking you're all high and mighty because you've been playing Wind Slayer far too long?

Geez...

Good honest review. i agree with most of what you say...

Thanks, I appreciate it. :)

Reviews are important for us so we know how to make things better and know what the community thinks of the game! I appreciate this review a lot, I hope there will be more in the future. The future development of Wind Slayer (Remember, we're still in Beta!) depends on you guys!

First of all, watch the language, this is a nice community and we like to have our forums clean and not filled with.. **** or %$#% or anything of that sort,

and admittedly I haven’t played Wind Slayer and have only seen promo videos of it, but on a first look basis this game looks too 2D for me, from wht I read in ur review it’s pretty much Fiesta but with Solistice spiced in between as far as the number of classes and with a higher importance of pvp, Fiesta does not have as many classes but still is 3D and gives, at least for me a more solid feel for the game. I am a Fiesta fan and even though I did try a hand in Solistice, I think Fiesta’s the best Outspark has come up with yet.
This though is the opinion of an audience and not of someone who has played the game first hand so, please do give me more info and we’ll see if I get convinced into finding Wind Slayer to be a game I’d play, thanks

Alright then, I apologize for mouthing off then. I feel bad. :o Just seemed to me like you were being a smart alec there. Guess I was a little irritable when I saw your post.

And honestly, not a lot of 2D MMOs out there impressed me, but WindSlayer is really great in my opinion.

And to answer your question to as who I am:

I'm just a nobody who has recently entered this community. As you can see from my Join Date, I reigstered a looong time ago, because I was planning to play Fiesta, but I never did. Now I return for WindSlayer. Eh.

Anyone who knows a game and knows how to write can write a review. He doesn't have to be any popular or something.

It's a pretty well summarize review of WindSlayer. I believe that one way or the other most of the people around here felt the same as you. Keep the good work up Fep. =)

A nice and fairly unbiased review.
I agree with the majority of your review.

The quests tidbit, I heavily agree on. The generic-ness of the quests make them seem rather bland and distasteful that I don't waste my time on them sometimes. As well, the rewards are rather terrible at best. The best reward I've gotten so far is the repeatable ginseng quest and got like 30 ginseng from doing it three times.
