Well, this is my first time playing Wind Slayer, ever, and I've decided to write my review on Wind Slayer after ten days of playing.
Overview:
Overall, Wind Slayer is a great, fun and compelling game. The whole game is mainly based on its PvP aspect, which is a great feature, as it forces players to engage in combat with other players to test skill and wit. Other than that, the normal gameplay itself is pretty average: experience rates become insanely low, generic quests, lots of grinding.
But, another positive aspect of the game which I like is that it has SIX basic classes, each branching into two more for a total of TWELVE advanced classes.
Customization: 7 out of 10
As stated before, this game has a great variety of classes to choose from, but the characters all look pretty much the same.
There are a variety of clothing to choose from to enhance your appearance, but this game has the potential to include much more.
For you skills, all same classes will have the same skill, you can't specialize in a specific skill branch, at end game, if you are a Bishop for example, all other Bishops will have the same skills as you... Not much customization there.
The main area you'd want to look at for customization is the Stat Point Allocation. You can choose what area you can put your stats in and how.
Quests: 7 out of 10
Yea... I was kinda disappointed. The quests are extremely generic: kill x number of mobs, collect x number of items, and delivery quests, etc.
The rewards are not really satisfactory or rewarding until you hit the 20's. Only thing about quests is that it helps grinding go by as you focus on the quests.
PvP: 8.5 out of 10
Honestly, I'm a huge PvP fanatic, and I've always love PvP games, but the one thing that ruins a lot of the games is the imbalance of classes and characters.
But in Wind Slayer, the classes are as balanced as it could get. The system allows so that I could access PvP anywhere and anytime I want and instantly get into a battle. Eh, don't remember what I was going to add to this, so I'll leave it here.
Gameplay: 8 out of 10
Killing monsters is fun, until you have to do it over and over and over x 1000 just to level up.
Honestly, I think they should have raid missions in this game. The bosses currently that I have faced may look intimidating, but they sooooo easy. Just hope they could add some non-PvP aspect in this game that would it make it fun, in case you needed a break from Slaying other players.
Also, I find it bothersome that the game is not entirely synchronized between players. I have heard that the reason was to reduce lag, [and it works, cause I have not lagged ingame at all] but it's quite annoying.
Community: 9 out of 10
I love the OutSpark community. It's great! The people are so helpful and really nice. But I couldn't give it a 10 out of 10, well, I don't think any can get a 10 out of 10 for community, 9 is as high as it would go. You'll ALWAYS run across the occasional jackass in every single game.
Anyways, good job, keep it up :D
I give Wind Slayer Overall, as a game an 8.5 out of 10.
