What class (classes) would you like to see introduced to Fiesta? If you voted other please tell what it is! (Not that I'm complaining of course)

Monk........

Anime-niac
10-06-2007, 02:33 PM
A monk would be nice, multiclassing would be even better, like a Paladin (warrior/cleric).

*Edit*
I just thought: how about a "Gilgamesh" class where you can wield any weapon?

Backstab and Poison ftw.

Monk, or a type of dancer that uses fans as weapons.

Sokuro

a ninja could be nice or a type of rouge that handles the bow and the sword :D

Definitely a summoner! It's a unique class that would add a lot to the class system. And with all the different monsters and pets and such, it's a definite win. There could be something like a breeder that could breed and train animals and use them in battle.

A craftsman.
Minimal offensive and Defensive possibilities BUT all (or ok, 3 or 4) possible manufactureskills

summoner, all the friggin' way.

Oh nooo.. surely not! Think of the counter class - a necromancer that can raise demons to counter those dragons! (And then a Very High Cleric that can summon Angels against demons, then high priests of darkness who can spawn Lewis Hamilton as the ultimate Evil.. HMMMMMM)
Funny idea though ;0)

How about doing something like a Karma System? We keep the classes that are already there but add Evil and Good for each class with unique skills (after Lvl20)?

Syrlith

Why do people like necromancers so much? In games, its little more than a cosmetic difference from summoners anyway. I think a completely buff (perhaps a bard) or a completely status (something related to poison) oriented class would be more useful.

Bannick
10-07-2007, 06:30 PM
dude a summoner would be cool because u could summona pet to attack for/with you.

A necromancer would rock too because u could make undead monster to fight with you

Rogues, they do it from behind. :)

Also, before anyone else suggests it; the proper spelling is rogue, not rouge. 'Rouge' is the French word for 'red.'

wolfbane64

I'd say rogue or summoner.

Argutae
10-09-2007, 12:52 PM
didn't I spell it right on the poll..... not even joking, I do that sort of thing all the time. If it wasn't fixed to my shoulders I'd forget what day it was! ;)

Rouge would be nice, to many games focus on the all powerful people and not so much the people that aren't noticed much. A summoner would be okay I suppose, it would be nice, but maybe slow? O.o
Anyways I think anything new would be sweet!

scottymcscottyson
10-09-2007, 07:46 PM
i think a rouge would be cool for dual weilding and perhaps and invisibility skill for temperary invisibility and theifing abilities would be a nice option.

or what about a custom class where you mix and match skills, abilities, or and what weapons and armor you can use....just a thought.

druid, monk, - part of cleric

necromancer - you mean mage

summoner, rogue- maybe

buffer/ debuffer- This is distributed to every class

kutsuke
10-10-2007, 12:58 PM
Rogue for obvious reasons

Druid for a jack of all trades - near excellence at tanking, healing, and magical damage

Necro wouldn't be more than a variation of Mage, and we already got one of them. Seriously, a necro is a knock-off that people will complain aren't as good as mages until the designers make them even more powerful than mages all the hard work of class balance is undone. All that would happen just for a knock-off!! (Repetitious for emphasis)

The good and evil dynamic is sooo old in gaming. I mean aged, of course, not necessarily boring. If the producers of Fable were to own the concept, then they'd be rich off suing others.

I'd say it would be plausible to allign with Teva or Markus.

Argutae
10-10-2007, 07:12 PM
ok.... I'm tired of people asking so here's the answer: a necromancer is a sub-utility class. Part mage, part summoner. The mage spells though, aren't necessarily based on doing pure damage, many a time necromancer spells will focus on doing basically everything else. Health sucking is also a big necromancer spell, as well as exlpoding corpses (or even making bone spears that come out of corpses). In order summon a necromancer will usually need a corpse. The theme of the class is really incorperated.

I think someone used to play Rappelz.

Back to the topic.

Different games make the same classes but in a different way. Some games would have a monk as a fighting class that uses their fists or even a Bo as a weapon. Some have monks as a healing type.

You mention Bard Buffer/De-buffer. I think that would be a useless class. Clerics already buff and usually mobs would die way to fast for de-buffs to even work except maybe for KQ, and even then some skills that the classes have are de-buffs.

Honestly the only class I could see them putting in here is a Rogue. It's a nice class most games usually have one. Fast low damage attacks but with skills that could poison the enemy. Would be a nice solo class or a good class for KQ. All depends on how they decided to make it of course.

Anyways thats just my thoughts on it.

I think a summoner would be good to add beause they would be able to fight with partners without having to struggle with finding a party and if the summoned monster dies it could drop thinks like summoned beast leather so the newbies would be able to get a bit more money.:)

I really like the multiclass idea that was brought up earlier by Anime-niac Like a paladin(warrior/cleric), a dark knight(warrior/?), a red mage(cleric/Mage), Ninja (warrior/Thief...if that happens) or even a pirate(warrior/Thief...yet again if that happens). But out of those to choose from I'm torn between monk and Summoner.

you should go for summoner they completely rock and if it was a multiclass summoner monk you would be able to heal summoned pets :D
that would be pretty cool

But becuase the Pirate and Ninja classes have the same basic starters you would need to complete a certain quest to determine which you become. I read earlier of a craftsman, good idea but hard to use. Because you have low att and def it would make it hard to mine in certain areas due to the monsters that would attack you. There would have to be some sort of skill like hide or something in order to save themselves from being attacked, that or just have a person protect you. Not to mention the amount of work it would take to create a craftsman by the GM's would be insane. They would have to rework a lot of the game just to so that people could make weapons, armor, etc...
Back to the multiclass talk though. The amount of work done just to do this would also be huge. This would mean that no one would start out as a warrior, cleric, or mage. They would have to exceed in certain skills and attributes and then do a quest or something to obtain this title. They could also do multiple classes this way which would be a great thing when it comes to customizing characters. There would be such a huge variety in attributes between players it would make the game that much more interesting. Once you have obtained the correct classes you could merge them together by doing a quest and bring each class to a certain point so that they may be able to merge into the powerful paladin, red mage, ninja, pirate, dark knight or whatever.
I am very interested in the idea of multiclass systems, but first must come more beginner classes to choose from: Warrior, Cleric, Archer, Mage (originals) Thief, Monk, [something attributed in darkness], etc.... (New)

umm i think a class that can uz 3 typse of the 4 classes weapons like an adept roge er somthin. but it should go by points to ensure that this class dosent over power the other class. like fighter 1points cleric 3points archer 1points and mage 3 points total of hmm 5 potions (cant go over 5 points)

Argutae

Not necessarily Fluffums (hehe, fluffums...sorry) Maybe we could have a system where you pick a class or something, then you have skill points that you can invest in other skills, but depending on the class you pick the skills' costs will very. For instance, I'm a mage, so buying fighter skills will cost more skill points than it will for a cleric or ranger. Of course we may need a few more skills added to make the variation realistic...

A cleric should also be able to summon the undead. I mean, don't they weild the power over life and death.

I said all thee above and other. My other would be a Dragoon type character cause they do twice the damage of a fighter and can tank a hell of a lot better. Oh yes they can also tame dragon type enemies, and kill dragon type enemies with ease.

a thif class would be great u could steal money from monsters and have poisen and bombs and can dissaper for a short amount of time to attack from behind without being attacked back and use quick attacks like lighting slash witch would do damage and stune the enemy for a short time (about 5-10 seconds)

honestly i dont think they need to add new starter classes i think they just need to have them branch out at lvl 20 and 60... like a mage at lvl 20 can choose to be a necromance or an arcmage ore something like that and you get different skills depending on what path you choose

How about a class of giant robots that can kill anyone or any thing with a single hit and use gatling guns as a weapon.

Or how about a class of invincible ghost warriors that can't be Pk'd or killed and never lose exp even though they can Pk anyone or anything else.

Actually the four current classes are just fine.
There isn't any need to create a new class.
Just about anything that you can think of can be accomplished with additional skills added to the the current classes.
Just my opinion.

Argutae
10-16-2007, 01:30 PM
I was thinking that too. I'm not saying that they have to be starter classes. Picture this: both fighter and mage can be assasin, if you're a fighter, you can customize your assasin with bad-@$$ fighting skills, but if you started as mage, then you're assasin will have some magic skills mixed in there. Mayber it could be that you can change branch class at a low level, or continue to be a main class :)

I really like the idea of a craftsman type character that can develop a number of trade skills. Maybe they could have skills that would extract additional items from monsters (after all those corpses seem to hang around for a little while, I think Outspark has some idea for them)? Or maybe passive skills that improved the number of points gained from alchemy skills (all five of them). All characters have to have some combat capability, so maybe they could be really good tanks? Or something else.

rogue would make it too similar to WOW, the summoner would be a distinct change, but make it different from the warlock and hunter in WoW.
