Resizing Screen

i want to change the resolution and resizing my screen so i can get clear view, like making it smaller with clear graphic but putting the screen border smaller and not like spreading it out and making it all fuzzy. Like from 1000x800 screen to 800x600 screen..well you know what i mean.

If anyone know this will help me a lot! Mostly with game issues.(lagg controll)
