But unfortunately they will start using normal chat or whisper then..

I don't think the shout restriction will stop them. At best it will give us an additional 30 mins - 1 hour of peace.

There will be other mentions taken, however we are refraining from putting them into patch notes to remove the chance of them countering them before we even put them into place.

I don't think the gold farmers will mind having a staff member sit there and make lvl6 chars all day and save the logins to a list.

But as you mentioned steam I am sure this is not your only plan of attack.

What about a mute function? One that works the way *they* can read their spam, but it isn't released to the ain channel? So they think it still works, while we have our peace. *eg*
