Dying at a low exp percentage will cause you to lose a level. Is that intended? In the picture, I'm wearing armor with level restriction 25. However, I died and went back to level 24. My exp percentage went to 99%

Jup it is intended. In the help files ingame it tells you so. You will lose 7% XP and will be even able to lose a level it says, so it works as intended.

Do you lose the stat points you had? If not, there's a bigger problem to be fixed.

You don't lose the stat point. But you also don't gain another one once you reach the same level again.

Well, that certainly wouldn't have the potential to be abused. Sounds like it is working as intended. Though, I'm not a big fan of deleveling.

it's better for a game to disencourage you from exploring and dying too much ;xx
anywho, i'm also not a big fan of deleveling~ but that's what pots are for >3<
or in this game's current case, sitting.

Kinda worried about this deleveling idea...
If there is key events ingame, where players from level 25-30 for example have an event, that someone who was level 80 could ... eventually delevel back down, to have stat's, skills and armor, to effectivily, beat anyone in that event.
Whilst this is unlikely... is it possible that some schmuk may actually do it if there is no "drop out" of how many levels a person could lose overall?

and i'm sure when you delvl down, one stat point would be deducted as well
(perhaps this is a glitch in the CB? that when you delvl, you don't lose SPs~? it's possible)
as a learned skill not being usable since there is a lvl requirement to them~

"Working as intended" sure brings up alot of questions. Perhaps they'll change it in the future.

You need to be stupid to Delevel 2 Lvls.
You only lose 7% so you need to die like 15 times in a row.
And who the hell would want to Delevel from 80 to 30? When you can get BETTER stuff from mobs at that lvl than anything in an event for lvls 25~30 -.-"

I'm not a big fan of deleveling. Especially if players keep, skills, stats, wep/equip. Unless the system is bugged right now it makes for some huge exploiting/farming. let me elaborate:
farming: if a player was to hit lvl cap and then delevel themselves about 20 or so lvls they could non-stop farm. this could be used as a means for gold selling sites to maintain an abundant supply of in-game currency to sell to players.
exploiting: besides exploiting pvp/pk by deleveling enough to slaughter unknowing victims this could be exploited by possibly finding ways to get extra stat points unless you lose stat points once you delevel. this is certainly something i can't wait to test once i log in later.
....I hope they decide to remove deleveling and maybe just implement negative xp ;) also 7% is kind of a harsh consequence especially at higher lvls.
