I think everyone notices those spammers that shout every .5 seconds. I have a question though. are those sites legitimate? or is it just a scam to get my money >.<.
I know everyone has their moments where they get lazy and the thought of paying for game money in a matter of seconds is well... easyer than earning it.

I WAS thinking about doing it, but the whole "I might get hacked/scammed" thing doesn't run with me.

Can someone tell me if those sites are real, and ok to use, or should I stay away?

I'm not making any decisions untill I get a few responces.
(pardon my spelling):p

Ah, I knew it was illegal, I just wasn't quite sure though. Thanks for clarafying it for me:cool:
EDIT: do you know if outspark is going to do anything about it? The spamming makes gameplay almost unbarable XP
DOUBLE EDIT XD: And the thought of a virus on my computer terrifys me D:

They are against the ToS Agreement, as is purchasing gold from them. Don't do it.

Make a suggestion.

The problem IS that such things are hard to deal with. How do you want to distinguish between a gold spammer and a normal player by code?
You cant have GMs running arround 24/7 in ALL places of this game - especially since there are more serious things to deal with (hacking, botting..). Honestly those guys suck, but how can be dealt with it? A player's task is simply to report spammers, maybe, if most people did, it COULD work for a while.
I am confident the staff can do something, though it will be a great task..
(I Was for years GM in Ultima Online.. so i KNOW how exhausting such idiots can be..)

Maybe the GMs should have messages once in awhile in the game that gold spammers are scammers and can infect your PC, steal your money, steal your account and its against fiesta rules to buy or sell gold. Just so noobs know and as a reminder to others.

There's a difference between a company not doing something about gold spammers and having gold spammers brute-force their way through the front door and overwhelm the staff. The truth is, it's the latter.

Given the trend from both sides, it's going to get worse before it gets better, mainly because the GMs have a lot on their plate right now. Remember, this game is still in beta. They still have to balance classes, fix bugs, improve gameplay, sift through feedback, etc. And that's in addition to banning gold spammers as they see them.

Also remember, this is Outspark's first project, and they're not working on an unlimited budget here. There will be limitations in some areas as they work on other areas. It's just one of those things that we have to deal with until they can find a permanent solution.

In the meantime, we, as the legitimate playing community, have to be part of the solution: block shouts during their peak hours, report spammers, etc. You guys have seen the tactics used to deal with them. No need for me to get into them.

Of course, if they don't make money, they won't stick around for too long. Which leads me to a rather disturbing problem... the bots are brute forcing their way into the servers at alarming rates now. I remember, on my first day here in open beta, that there wasn't a single bot to be found while I was playing. The second day, one or two bots.

Now? They're littering the servers. That tells me two things:
1. The companies doing this nonsense are making money hand over fist.
2. People are not afraid of buying cash from these bots.

What worries me more is #2. If we're going to take on the bot problem... maybe the focus should be shifted towards the buyers, not the sellers. They're easier to take down permanently. By taking them down, the sellers won't have the profit they're making now, and thus, will be forced to scale down their operations. Less bots will show up. More buyers are banned as they buy. Rinse and repeat until the companies realize they can't make a profit here. They'll bail once that happens.

Interesting and Fair post above. If people are not buying then there would be no need for the goldbots to be there.

I'm not sure about Wow, but I know on FFXI (which you do have to pay a monthly fee for) there are no Spammers to buy gil. But, there are gil sellers. They just don't spam for people to buy it. Probably because they would be banned right away. Not too sure why this is different here.

Another side thought is that if Outspark opened the online store to purchase items/gold (not sure that is the direction for the online store (I have heard that idea, and also more like a player to player auction house, all speculation) - but they would not only turn a profit, but it might eleviate the gilbots from coming to the game)

I just ignore them, just like any other annoying chara. =)

Like He said On FFXI they are Gilsellers They dont spamm but we know where they are but strangely The fishing bots are decreasing because less people Buy it My friend who is In My LS got banned to go On a site web for RMT well he gonna be Unban today but anyway

The main problem is The Buyer not seller Buyer are people who encourage it if we stop the Buyer or if they dont Buy anymore gil or caracter or whatever for real Money no More sellers No more spammers

Oh and strangely The spammer sellers are from china STRANGELY They act as their Job we can see this On Youtube a video of that we saw a lot of chinese people on computer sleeping On computer playing WoW scamming gold over gold its Like ruining the game at the end they said " we need only a small Place" No you dont need small place because you wont get any The game are for players not worker and scammer (worker for chinese since for them its works ) and You can see a lot of those RMT on Youtube and How to deal with them Mostly, ( in FFXI we saw them get killed By mob its a Good way when they see people dont want them to be here they will stop in June I found like 20 fisher In sandoria and in september I found 2 fisher In sandoria ) strangely No because 1. Square enix Banned them and 2. those fisher stopped to fish for nothing and there is less and less site for selling Ingame gold also, and I think its the same thing In this game also, DON'T BUY ANY OF GOLD and they will stop

Typical example of "blurting"
Next time think before you type. Why would you even make such a comment?
I have reported bots, and watched as Kalaan went off to investigate.

Unless you have proof that GM's don't do anything, it would be prudent to keep those kind of thoughtless comments to yourself, just out of common courtesy alone.
