Waiting, waiting and waiting.
As we wait for things to happen people are leaving for other games (Dragonica, Ether Saga, Valkyrie Sky.. just to name a few) and soon won't return due to the lack of updates and bad image outspark is giving the game. Explained below.
GM's Rider and Kronos continue to try to keep the interest of the players by running ingame events but its the same old garbage were used too. Some small amounts of gold and items that can be bought or easily made by most players. Most of the common player base ignores these events since we already know the outcome.
PVP is getting repetitive with the lack on skill changes to every class and lack of balancing on classes like the "Rogue". Seems now that PVP is the only thing to do other then mining and forging until come updates are released. Even mining and forging are lacking in consideration that the items have horrible chance to fail do us being unable to access high tiers of the skills. This is due to everyone being unable to level.
They made an attempt to bring some activity back with the recent cash shop items but most of these item are useless to high level players due to the fact that there are no longer monsters for us to kill. Only place these items are welcomed in is PVP and even then they only make a slight differ in advantage. My opinon is your paying for nothing. Most MMO games will see updates before they expect players to fork out cash, this gives them something to look forward too.
Even Mc.Donald's gives you your meal before they ask for your money.
We have contacted GM's in game many time to try and get a glimpse of hope for the future of the game and a time frame for when they will release vital updates. But the main GM "Silkypico" Refuses to say anything to us. Only ingame comment we have gotten so far are: "This is a PVP game" - Silkypico and "Go take a break" - Kronos.
This article will be posted at onrpg.com, mmorpg.com and the TOSgaming.com website. Since the GM's are likely to remove it because the truth hurts.

Well Said...
I agree whole heartedly with everything you just wrote.
They are killing this game...
Its not like the 2nd class wasnt already made for them... It was in Closed Beta..
How hard is it to add things already there...

The mentor situation and the fact that some classes can upgrade (well, one) while others can't is a serious oversight. Not exploits or cheating, just a slap in the face. However, we do have a date floating around and it's not too far away--something like two weeks.
So, I'd say let's just chill. I certainly won't buy anything, yet, but I'm willing to wait. PVP is pretty un-balanced right now, so I'm just trying out all the classes in the meantime. If you haven't made some alts, give them a try.
Also, mining is beyond boring. But, my wife has high-heeled shoes that solve that problem. Give it a shot if you have something heavy, easily balanced and with a finger-sized point :-P

"we do have a date" - Who is "we" and there is no date... many people ask and they simply reply each time - Soon soon soon... so we wait wait wait and nothing happens. You cannot say that there is a time frame unless you can quote it from a GM in some way or form.

I agree wholeheartedly Kakusu. I've already gotten 2 e-mails from Dragonica asking me to come play. Most of the mentiis I've gathered - about 40+ - are already either quitting due to lack of content or are waiting till new content comes out. I have maybe 3 active mentiis out of that 40. If I find those 3 stop playing, I'll quit this game and go to dragonica...

I understand your concern for this game. It has high hopes for many players, including myself.
If you would like I can ask some Outspark staff what the progress is for some of the things for Wind Slayer. I do know that some things they can not release until a certain time but, I will find out any information I can.
Just hold out a bit longer, I'm sure that things will get better.

I agree with ya too, but I don't think they will do anything just because we keep asking them to. I really don't think that it would be a big deal to open the rest of the maps and quests. I think Fiesta and SoS are their bigger projects, so they will put them above the others(they make more money off those games anyway). This shop event ends on March 3 and I believe they will add the maps then. I have actually considered reopening my FF11 account(which I swore I'd never access again) or find another game to play. I do have a Fiesta account, but I'm bored of that game too. Wish it was warmer so I can start my wood crafts again, oh well.

Lol, I'll tell you guys something.. Outspark doesn't work as fast paced as this game is.. If I got to give a date on when we would get Second classes & new maps.. it would be either by the end of this month (February) or next month.. because from the looks of things they're working at the same time length as Solstice.

i know what you mean, Kak.... but the game was released about 2 weeks ago. they can only update things so fast. Don't get mad about things like the map, play PvP or talk to people, that's what i do.
Plus, I've been waiting since October for blackshot, and i haven't said much about it.

Well wait or not we still haven't got a date or anything on maps or anything else. I would like to know when they are going to decide to update the game and let us know so i don't have to be on my computer all the time wondering or not if they updated windslayer yet. If they could just tell us when i could rest easier and not worry about playing until then. Also the Event prizes are pretty lame, they should give us something unique and Kronos has screwed me 2 times now outa pvp event prizes:mad: but they were probably not worth it anyways.

Aloha Windslayer players,
First and foremost I'd like to remind everyone that this game is still in it's BETA stages and was released for OB not too long ago. I understand that there are many things all of you wish to see updated within the game, but implementation takes a longer than you may realize.
Also note that all of the GMs & staff at Outspark are bound by the NDA (non-disclosure agreement) contract, that is why GMs usually do not/should not respond to questions like "when are the new maps coming...etc?" or "can you at least give us a time frame on...?"
Events are limited to only GM_kronos and GM_rider and they are doing their best with the amount of time they actually get to spend in game, they are still employees and must also have time to dedicate to work.
Lastly, Outspark is an ever growing company, we are working our hardest, and we'd appreciate your continued support in order to help make our games better. Please list your suggestions in the "Windslayer suggestion thread" they are greatly appreciated.
**If you haven't noticed there have been new GMs such as GM_Nekopon, GM_Silvershield, and myself. We will be keeping our eyes and ears open.**

I think outspark should open up a donation booth on the webpage so players can contriblute to Outspark. we all know there is a huge economic issue in america right now, so we should give OS a little something. most websites have a donation page and it usually works pretty well. for people who don't want to pay for SC items/ don't play the games, this would be a good option.
try to help them out a bit if you want more updates so badly, so they can finish Blackshot and work on ProPow and Windslayer.

I understand that the GM's are bound by the NDA and cannot reply about the timeframe. But if we don't get some kind of response soon then more of the community are going to leave. Its easy to tell approximatly how many people are playing. Make a new char and check your overall rank. Theres only maybe 500 people always playing at one time and 3000 chars made this is not including the alts people have made out of boredem.
If there are no updates soon do you really think that the 200-300 people left are really going to be able to support the game?. I think in order to satisfy some of the other unhappy players and attract more players to the game before it crashes if might be a good idea to have a public event worth logging on for.
Examples:
200 - 300% XP for a week
Increased Drop Rates for a Week
Crafting Events
I understand that you guys just came out with cashshop and thats great and your giving away a nintendo wii.
That does not say fun to those who do not have money in economic times or to those see no need to buy cash shop items since they cannot level.
It great that you guys highered new GM's and wanna look at suggestions from other players but whats the point of taking a suggestion when you know the NDA restricts you from making changes. Only change i have seen since i got here on day one is the cashshop and thats a standardized implement into the game.

A 2 week timeframe to gamer is not very long when they attempt to cap a level so early. You can get 25 in 3 days easily and at that point you get bored and move on to games more intresting. We can only do so much and such limitations they have given us.
And as i expressed at the beginning of the post the i have been PVPing but after PVPing so much ull know the outcome everytime and how it works, the bugs, the common PVP players, all the standard attacks of all classes. Its boring.
I am not mad at outspark for all this simply upset with them taking a contract on the game and letting it get to this point.

Of course were all mad but would you rather see the game be "deleted" or "put out of business" because they gave the "fans" what they wanted and got in "trouble" with there contracts... i for one wouldnt..
Of course im bored of the game, atm, but am I gonna quit? yes, until they release the maps but Im not mad about this enough to quit entirely..
I rather see this game up and running, however long that takes i dont care, than have it "shutdown"
so just calm down for now..
Not releasing the maps is business wise not because they dont want to..

girly girl june you shouldnt talk since your not in your 30s most people are pissed b/c they cant try out the 2nd jobs and level to check out new abilities in pvp and pve. I already have a 31 monk, a 20 priest, 22 rogue, 25 archer, and a 25 mage. Now tell me that i shouldnt have at least 1 character around 40+ and changed into 2nd job by now? Yeah i get it they cant do anything until they are allowed by outspark or w/e but they i strongly suggest that they do something. I mean it is just open beta and closed beta had it all plus the bugs XD. So why limit us on maps and all that now?

First off i'd like to point out that the game will not be deleted, and outspark has cash they have over 2 millon players who play fiesta. And no there not giving fans what they wanted, we want more content and there holding back so you can't say they have. For good reason of course.
But think about how many people are gonna quit simply because the games boring and there going to move on. Whos to say another game is not gonna come out worth playing and putting time and money while you on leave from this one and never come back. You may think this is not true but for most cases it will. I don't wanna see outspark lose right to windslayer but they really must up the anti if they wanna keep there active players.
And as far as saying things like "I'm not 30 i have a life.." if only takes 5 days to get too 30 not a month. You can have your cake and eat it too i have a full time job, a girlfriend, a kid i love very much and i run my own personal guild, top guild on the server (Tosgaming.com) and still have a level 30.

I don't understand why they wouldn't be able to release the new maps because of a contract. It doesn't make sense. They bought this game from GnG right? This means they should have full control over the game. Why would Outspark buy the game knowing they could only release a certain amount of content?
Think about it this way... You go to the market and buy and apple. But but before you buy the apple the guy your buying it from makes you sign a contract saying you can only eat half the apple. That doesn't make sense.
I'm not trying to flame you, but this excuse that Outspark is bound by contract is stupid to me.

The GMs are bound by an NDA to Outspark which prevents them from disclosing details such as when changes will be made to the game, etc. It's not a contract with GnG as far as I know. The most plausible excuse for not opening the new content is because it reduces the amount of area they have to cover in support and bug fixes for the moment (e.g. all mechanics related to second classes, aside from the one they missed in the block out). Granted, people are more tolerant of bugs in beta than boredom, so I think it's a little misguided. If there are other reasons, they haven't been offered.

You'll never see their meetings about the statistics though. But several other games do exactly this, Mabinogi, Twelve Sky...Well, mostly every other asian f2p mmo does this to other clients, especially in the us. They don't understand our playerbase or our wants and needs for this type of game.

No one is that incompetent and still in business. I would be willing to bet it's a capacity issue more than a value subtraction exercise. Value subtraction models only work in pay services, generally, and require you to have the second tier available on demand. That said, if you can't provide the required capacity needed to satisfy your customers, find another business :-P
