I tihnk i know what you mean hated people are mostly 60+ but not every one I started to be hated in the 3x on my fighter and 4x on my clerica

In WindSlayer all of your characters are playable in all of the channels, so if the first channel is always on high, you can play on the last channel with your character. This would be great on Fiesta, but how come they didn't make channels before making the other three servers? Would channels seriously lower lag?

Yes, differen't channels would be a much better idea than one whole new server.

You can escape the lag, escape the jerks in the abyss and etc..

Yes.
Yup it would be less lag cause there are more channels and less people on each channel.

Sounds good, I'm all for new channels and servers, but you should be able to whisper your friends from other channels and see them on your friends list.

It probably won't happen though.

i have not read your thread but i should say if another server is added we and customer will have to pay for it.
beside about 30% of the population are vendors and alt vendors.
but that is my opinion

The problem wiht multiple channels is that if you're in a guild war, you all have to war on the same channel. If you're warring a guild with everyone on channel 1, and you're the only person in the guild on channel 1 atm, then you better pray or something because you're going to lose quickly.

indeedy, new server will not cure any population problems on the existing servers, it's all very much a cows opion.

and 2GB of ram is enough, as long as the only thing you're doing is playing fiesta. A lot of people complain of lag when they are on MSN (memory hog) or any MS Office programs are open (memory hog), or they have incorrect paging files set, or have slow hard drives, or any other number of things that can be just wrong. I'm 2GB, i've yet to lag where it's not my own fault.

8Mb/s is enough, if it's contstant. Some ISPs shave certain ports, which ironically fiesta uses, some isps use sharing (cable is notorious) so at peak periods you're lucky to get 8kb/s - but it can go as "high" as 8mb, so they advertsise that.

Again, i'm on a 12Mb/s system now for some reason, and it's constant, if i chose to, i could download at that speed 24/7 (not that there would ever be a need to), so i know my speed and connection are constant.

and i use Vista, before people throw that in my face, yes, it lags less on XP, cause XP uses less memory than vista, but it works fine on vista.

i only lag if i'm on MSN, Yahoo, playing with stuff in photoshop, maybe got a movie playing on the second monitor and defragging or something, which outspark can never cure, cause it's my fault. The only times i've ever lagged in game without it being my fault, the servers crash within the hour, so again, there really is no cure for that.

new servers will not cure lag problems, if lag was caused by the bandwidth needed to send information to you, the lag problem would be worse, cause a whole new would would need to walk down their series of pipes to get to the internet

to all those that want channels, its a simple computing thing called V-Lans, that they would have to configure on their servers. not difficult unless you are just lazy and dont want to waste the time, and overhead required to maintain their upkeep :rolleyes:

we are talking about a 3d mmo rpg with a lot of players on each servers.
Adding channels = adding linked servers using the same data base = more cash spent on Internet traffic = more money spent on servers and maintenance.
Its easy to buy a server could cost around 10k-20k $. Its the net traffic and rack slot that might be a problem for outspark.

The cable company actually advertises it at 15Mb/s, but I get 8Mb/s steadily on a slow day. Also, I run (on Vista) nothing else, I even turned Aero off and toned down graphics.

I am sure my graphics card doesn't help, as it's not all that great, but should be enough to avoid most of the lag, which is all pretty recent. I played for months with hardly any lag.

I don't understand what you mean. How do channels exactly defeat the purpose of the game. Sure you won't be able to party with everyone, but you're still partying with people. The party may be smaller, but hopefully that solves lag.

And I guess the only people who would abandon their characters to start on a new server were those who were capped or were bored.

Okay, so I play Teva. They implement 5 channels per server. The guild I am in has to make sure everyone is on the same channel now, or they never see each other. And what about my Friends List? It is possible that I will never see them again.

I guess it wouldn't really defeat the purpose of the game. And besides, maybe the different servers are really just different VM's on the same box (or cluster, farm, whatever).

You do realize that it costs Outspark a BOATLOAD of money to set up and maintain servers right? If you haven't figured it out, that's the reason they need to advertise the cash shop so much...so they can keep the servers up and running for all of you. You always complain about how they spend too much time on the cash shop and here you go adding to the problem by wanting a new server which would overall just increase the amount of advertising Outspark would have to do for the cash shop in order to run yet another unneeded server -.-' Give em a break, maybe you just need a better internet connection or a faster computer. Don't blame the lag on the game, because most of the time it is the user's fault....

ok the internet connection might affect it a lil but not really the ram My laptop has less ram then my computer there same company too but I have a faster laptop my computer has fiesta on it and internet while my laptop has msn perfectworld( mmorpg) WoW (Mmorpg) Cabel online ( mmorpg) 3 diffrent media players Fire fox :3 and I can load faster then all of my friends computer in real life :3

fiesta should get channels for each server just like blackshot ...for example 10 channels for each server..it's almost like a server expansion i guess just holds more and yeah
it will reduce lag big time lol
